Went here after seeing the reviews on here. Service was good, was a little slow at times but think this is common in marrakesh!
Overall the food was delicious and the cocktails were fab. The mixed kebabs were so nice, meat was seasoned well. Our fries were over done which was a bit of a dissapointment but the caramel fondant made up for that when it came to dessert time
If your looking for a break from tagines id recommend you try this place out!

We were truely blown away with the whole package.

When we arrived we were given the option of having drinks for 'happy hour' first or having dinner. We had a drink outside in the lovely seated area.

After drinks we ordered several starters, some were small portions some were decent sized but the quality was superb. All dishes seemed very fresh. Would definitely recommend Batata harara, halloumi spring rolls and the lamb shawarma (main)!!

After dinner we had shisha outside as well as desert and they were more than accommodating allowing us to relax and do everything in our own time.

The service was as you'd expect in a top restaurant in England and probably even better!!

It was slightly on the expensive side but well worth it!

This place was amazing, we went for my boyfriend's birthday and I wish we'd gone again for mine instead of the totally sub-par Le Marrakchi (especially as the prices are pretty similar)

Firstly, when you arrive, you didn't have to go straight inside, but could sit outside smoking shisha and drinking cocktails, which were presented really well. My boyfriend's were served out of a Moroccan teapot, and I was casting an envious eye at the next table where they were served in an awesome looking cube-like glass. They were pretty tasty too, mine was a really lovely lychee margharita.

Service is excellent. Culterally I think Moroccan service is generally slow, which is nice and relaxing, but can be irritating when you want a drink, or to order more bread or your bill. At, Azar you only had to empty your glass and they'd be topping it up with more wine before you'd put it down. Even better, they managed to do it in that totally unobtrusive way you only get with really good service.

The food was totally to die for, everything was so perfectly cooked.

The only down-side were the belly-dancers, I felt they stayed out just a bit too long and personally I prefer the Moroccan musicians, like the Berber music to belly-dancing, but that's just a small niggle, and you could tell that there were very skilled dancers.

If you want to go anywhere for a special meal while in Marrakech this is the place to come!

The restaurant was recommended by a friend, but we did not know what to expect. Even if we had, the reality would have so much better. The food was great, the waiting staff were attentive and fun, the sound system was superb and the belly dancers were amazing. Overall we had a really good time. It isn't cheap, but worth it.

Good buzzy restaurant if you want Lebanese with entertainment but we left feeling angry after they tried to charge us for a cocktail that was supposed to be free as part of happy hour and for the wrong bottle of wine. We stood our ground but took 10 mins of them blaming us before the owner finally agreed to take these off the bill. Go there with eyes wide open.

Dear Customer,
We’re sorry for the impression you have had when you left our facility. My team and I work daily in order to satisfy all our clients and insure a good service at the Azar. When I read your comment, I am disappointed and admit that we failed our endeavors. Nevertheless, I would like to reiterate that we do not operate within the norms of overcharging customers at the Azar.
You are the first client to level such a remark. In fact, we have a Happy Hour plan, but since you are 2 persons, you normally order two glasses and we offer you the other two. You cannot order just one glass and ask to offer the second to your partner. This has been part of our business dealings; and we have explained it to you.
Concerning wine, the waitress has served you the bottle that you have checked during your meal. You could have immediately mentioned that this was not right the bottle you have ordered and we could have changed it on the spot. It was at the end of your meal and after finishing the bottle of wine and having the bill brought to you that you mentioned that you have been served the wrong bottle.
At the end, we offered you a cocktail and a bottle of wine; which is not bad for some people supposed to overcharge on their bills.

Best Regards,
