Fantastic little Riad hidden away in a little street in the Kasbah district. As per many of the other reviews on here, we really could not fault it. The Riad is beautifully kept, and the rooms cosy and furnished with very comfortable beds covered with high quality bed linens.
From our early arrival to our departure, Joelle and her staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful.Breakfasts are awesome and will set you up for a day exploring the souks. All in all, staying here was a wonderful experience and would hightly recommend if you are taking a trip to Marrakech

Lovely little Riad, Joelle and Lauren are perfect hosts, and have done there best to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the Riad is very Chic and set out in a French / Moroccan style, The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is probably the best we've had anywhere, with lots of variety.
There is also a sun terrace, with sun beds, which has a secluded shaded area where you can just chill out away from the direct sun.

Would highly recommend this Riad for its style, hospitality, and comfort.

Just got back from a 4 night stay in Marrakech. Staying at this Riad was fantastic. Such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. My partner and I had a fantastic time. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. You have to dine here at least once as Joelle is a great hostess and the food is authentic and delicious. Can't recommend this Riad highly enough, the staff are friendly and its just far enough away from the hustle of jemaa al fna. And you get to stay in the Kasbah!!! Merci beaucoup Joelle.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the beautiful Riad les Orangers d'Alilia for five nights. We booked on the back of such encouraging reviews on this website and we were most certainly not disappointed. We booked direct through the Riad's website and the owner Joelle replied to emails quickly and answered any questions we had. I would definitely recommend booking directly with her and she was kind enough to also book us transfers to and from the airport which, when we got there, we really appreciated as finding anywhere for the first time in the maze of the medina can be tricky.

On arrival we were greeted by Joelle and her staff and immediately served some traditional Moroccan tea and, as our flight arrived early in the morning, a wonderful selection of things for breakfast (much appreciated after our travels!) Such wonderful welcomes and breakfasts continued throughout the trip. The breakfasts were delicious, freshly home made, different everyday and really set us up for the day, as the selection was huge. Most days we didn't feel the need for a proper lunch.

We stayed in the room named Sarah. The room was beautiful with everything you would need (bid comfy double bed, big wardrobe etc.) The bathroom was lovely too, with a huge shower and plenty of hot water. Overall, the room reflected the authentic feel of the whole Riad with wonderful little touches such as the fresh flowers and Moroccan lanterns, pots and trinkets, so the whole place feels so special.

Joelle cooked a delicious meal for us on one evening which was served in the Riad. She served 3 courses, as well as wine and tea, all in a little room to ourselves overlooking the beautiful courtyard. It was such a wonderful evening. Joelle is an amazing cook and we would highly recommend you sample this should you decide to stay. Echoing previous reviews Joelle is very knowledgeable on the area and will always offer advice on activities and restaurants etc. She booked us a day excursion to the Atlas Mountains for us which involved a driver picking us up from the Riad at 9.30am before returning at around 4.30pm. A very enjoyable day in some stunning scenery.

Finally the Riad does have a very relaxing sun terrace with sun loungers and other areas to enjoy the sunshine with a good book should you wish. The lovely little touches continue on the roof terrace, with a selection of big sun hats and towels provided. There is a shower to cool off in and even a small plunge pool should it get too hot.

Without doubt you should not hesitate to book to stay here. You will not regret it and i'm sure we will return on our next trip to Marrakech, as I very much doubt there could be anywhere better to stay in Marrakech. Overall, this is an authetic and highly personal experience that you just wouldn't get with a large, generic hotel. Get booking!!

I have just come back from a 3 night stay at this wonderful Riad. Having read the reviews i was very much looking forward to staying here and it was every much as i expected... and more. I have travelled to many different places and i can honestly say that this is THE best place i have ever stayed in..... Joelle and her team are very friendly and could not do enough for you. Joelles hospitality is second to none. The decor and little touches all over Les Orangers are wonderful. From the little candles dotted around to the wonderful smell of Oranges and hearing the birds singing, The breakfast is amazing, i defy you to eat it all!!! The centre of Marrakech is a short stroll away and is very busy and crazy and when you have enough of walking around, the minute you push open the huge wooden door to enter into this wonderful little haven you will be greeted by a sense of calm and tranquility. If you are in any doubt as to choose this accommodation or not, do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Les Orangers have 5 large rooms and we looked at all of them and they are of similar size and very t...

We stayed the last 2 nights of our week in Morocco at the lovely Riad les Orangers d'Alilia. I wished we'd have had the chance to stay longer but Joelle, the owner was booked out for the other nights we were in Marrakech.

A sanctuary it is! Tastefully styled, with our room beautifully presented - crisp linens on the bed, quality amenities in the bathroom .. lovely all round. Within the medina, just south of the main square in the Kasbah area I truly recommend this riad as something special.

Joelle is a fabulous host who is passionate about every aspect of your stay. Breakfast is something special - cooked by Joelle herself and different both mornings, the variety will surprise you and if you can get through it all you probably won't have room for lunch. Others have recommended having Joelle cater a private dinner. We should have listened. Cooking is her passion and a couple that stayed the same time as ourselves did do this and raved about the dinner the next day.

In short .. just book it. You won't be disappointed. And my other tip? Well .. you're reading this so you've possibly already concluded you want (1) a riad and (2) to stay within the medina. If so, you've got the right idea. DO stay in a riad. DO stay within the medina. You're going to Morocco so make sure you EXPERIENCE it!

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely. We looked at all the pics online on the Riad's own website first. Our '...
