“Wonderful Time in the Heart of Marrakech”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

We had a wonderful week long stay at the Nasreen Riad. The staff was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel at home in Marrakech. We ate most of our meals at the Riad which were all home made and delicious! Make sure you make it up to the roof top deck. It is a few stairs but worth the trek up, beautiful place to spend a quite evening. If you are looking for excitement the main square is just a few minutes walk and for the extra adventurous take a wander through the souqs.

My wife, 3 year old daughter and I booked a one week visit to marrakech where we stayed at Riad Nasreen. The Riad itself is beautifully finished with white washed walls, intricate carvings and a fountain in the courtyard. The rooms were beautifully decorated in an authentic Morrocan style - it really did feel like Arabian Nights!

The staff were pleasant and helpful - they arranged a visit for us to cascade d'ouzade - the highest waterfall in north Africa. I have to say that the food served at the Riad was delicious - we ended up eating there most nights. Evenings were very pleasant on the rooftop terrace.

Location - just a short walk from the souks and the main square. Lots of shopping and exploring the souks - and having a 3 year old, several trips to Oasiria - the nearby water park.

Overall, a wonderful experience and we'll certainly be coming back to Marrakech and staying at Riad Nasreen.

We took advantage of the airport pick up facility, which I highly recommend. Upon entrance into the Riad I was taken aback by its beauty. I have stayed in several other Riads, but none have captured me as this one did. The majestic marble floors, greenery and trickling candlelit fountain in the courtyard made me feel as though I had stepped into a tranquil haven in the midst of the buzzing flamboyant city. The food is divine, the best I had in Marrakesh, I recommend the beef, full of flavour. The staff were so helpful and well mannered, they made me feel like family. The manager Mohamed was always happy to talk to us and arranged several excursions for us, he knew all the happenings in and around Marrakesh. I had a cooking lesson from Madame Fatima Zora, who's food tastes amazing, and me and my sisters took advantage of the luxurious hammam (steam spa) and massage treatments in the Riad, which was great as it meant we could go straight up to our rooms and relax after, heaven! The beds were great for my back, overall I cannot recommend this Riad highly enough and is now my 'go-to' place in Marrakesh.

We arrived here and were greeted by pleasant welcoming staff. We were given complimentary mint tea and Moroccan pastries as our suitcases were moved to our room.
We stayed in the olive suite - a beautiful room with a 4 poster bed and canopy.
The shower is amazing!
The riad is a picturesque tranquil place away from the hustle and bustle of the medina - a good location.
The staff were very accommodating and attended happily to all needs.
Abdul razaq and Mohammed were fantastic as were the ladies who serviced the riad.
We unfortunately had to leave early due to personal circumstances - Mohammed was very understanding and helped us.
We recommend that you stay here - its beautiful - all the other reviews are correct in what they say.
This riad is an unfound diamond.. Make sure you see it and stay here.
Happy traveling people
And a big Shukran to the folks in riad nasreen.
Xx

This beautiful little Riad is situated within minutes walking distance of the grand souk in Marrakech. It is a step back from the loud tourist areas so that residents can be sure to experience the true Marrakech. Inside it has been renovated in traditional style with each room holding it's own character. The view from the roof top is spectacular. We visited in November when the Atlas mountains were white with snow. The staff were delightful and Maryam cooked the best Tagine of my visit!

Upon arrival, Mohammed, the manager and English-speaker was not there. The other staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the stay. We then wanted to wait for Mohammed so he could explain things to us. We waited about an hour. Apparently another guest got lost and he had to find them. Mohammad then gave us excellent directions and a map and a great hamman recommendation. I understand that it was low tourist season, but Mohammad was rarely around. On our last night, he told us to pay later. When we went back down he was gone. We had a question about the bill and the other staff could not answer it due to the language barrier. We figured he would be there the next day as we were not leaving until noon. However, he did not show up. We never got out question answered and just payed a fee that we disagreed with because it was just easiest in the moment. Compared to our Riad service in Fes, this was subpar. The Riad itself is beautiful. The fountain in the courtyard, the stucco work in the TV room, the bathrooms, and the rooftop terrace are wonderful. The AC was not very strong.

We booked a short notice break to Marrakech for five nights in May and weren't disappointed. We received a very warm welcome from Mohammed(riad manager) when we arrived with mint tea and biscuits on arrival while he provided us with information about Marrakech on the culture, what to visit and the best place to get currency from.
The Riad itself is in the quieter part of the medina a five minute walk away from the main touristy areas which made it a great place to relax after a busy day sightseeing in the hustle and bustle. We arranged to have an evening meal in the Riad. The staff start preparing the meal in the afternoon sourcing all the food locally so it couldnt be any fresher, it was delicious.
Whilst we were in Marrakech Mohammed arranged a day trip to the cascades d'ouzoud which were spectacular and an amazing experience.
As we left Marrakech we agreed that we'd love to go back and stay in Riad Nasreen again.
