With out doubt the best hosts that a backpacker or indeed anyone ask for, freindly helpful and proactive.
As what most people have written, this place is great value for money.
The only downside to this place is simply the bathrooms, they are disgusting, while clean they look dirty. So Fran and Abdullah, get those paint brush's out and give the old bathrooms a bit of TLC as they need it!!

Upon arrival, we were seated in a beautiful living room and served hot mint tea. As soon as the owners arrived (we had no reservation), they arranged a place to sleep for us and unprompted, began explaining us the way around town and what sites to see. They bend over backwards to accommodate every single guest and answer every single question with as much detail as they can provide. The staff were genuinely caring and lovely people. The atmosphere of the Riad made us feel at home almost immediately, a safe haven from the zooming mopeds outside.
There are a selection of private rooms, dorm rooms and extra overflow beds to choose from. There is a little hammam upstairs on the terrace (hopefully it's on when you are there).
It was easy to meet and chat with other travelers in the common areas. We even linked up with 4 of them (at different times) and continued our travels with them.

There is 24 hour security and a doorbell entrance. The Riad is highly secure.

Overall, an incredible, lively, homely, tasty and wonderful place.

My experience with Marrakech Rouge was fantastic, I just came back from Marrakech and loved the experience. It wouldn't have been the same without Fran, Abdullah, Yusuf and Said. Amazing people.
The staff are very friendly, they always make sure you are happy and have had a glass of mint tea. The rooms are really nice and clean, even though you will be most of the time on the terrace, hanging out with the other travelers coming from everywhere. This riad amazingly attracts just the right people, we just meet the friendliest people here.
The location of the riad is perfect, it is just 10 mins walk to Djemma el Fna, 5 mins walk to the local Hammam, 10 mins walk to Cafe France, 5 mins walk to Bahia Palace and just beside an amazing bakery shop! An internet cafe is also very close.

This is definitely the riad you would like to stay.

Thanks so much again for the amazing time! Hope to see you again soon! Inshallah. We know exactly where to go!

Riad Marrakesh Rouge is by far the best hostel I have stayed at ever.
It is full of the most friendly people and staff I have ever come across, who will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is as enjoyable an experience as possible. You get a superb welcome upon arrival, and from then on you feel at home. The owners, Fran and Abdulah, very much want all guests to treat it like home... I think this helps to create such a warm, comfortable environment in which to chill out, chat to fellow travellers, sun bathe, read, play cards, smoke shisha, drink tea.... whatever you want!
Its a perfect base from which to explore Marrakesh - only 5 minutes from the main square and is 10 seconds away from the best bakery shop with excellent pastries! The riad itself is beautiful, colourful and I quite often just gazed up at the intricate ceilings. The terrace is absolutely stunning and with the addition of the berber tent upstairs I spent many an afternoon chilling out on the roof.
I would defintately recommend this to any traveller... you will not be disappointed! And its a bargain with the price... including breakfast which are delicious home cooked breads. I will definately return!
