“The best hostel I have ever been”

This is the best hostel I have ever been! The staff is lovely, nice and always willing to help. There is free tea, cookies, water pipe. There is no problem with keeping your luggage after check out. And the decoration is really beautiful. Everything is clean. You simply feel like at home.

I first stayed in this hostel in January and recieved a warm welcome from Muhammed. The dorm was clean and had an average amount of AC points. People do tend to stay up late so earplugs are recommended. Breakfast however is the best I've ever recieved from a hostel. I can't personally recommend the tours as I never used them.

They're also very helpful I was involved in an accident on the way to Ourazazte when I got back to Marrakech they were able to find me somewhere to sleep despite being nearly full. I didn't pay full price for my private room, if I had to pay a full price I wouldn't recommend it. All in all a great vibe.

It was my second time in Marrakech Rouge and both times were absolutely outstanding. This is due to manifold reasons. Just to name a few of them:

- the hostel is very clean
- the staff is the friendliest and most helpful staff that one can think of
- the owners take superbly care of every wish you possibly can come up with
- a LOT of excursions are offered
- the way the riad is designed lends itself excellently to just get to know new people
- everything is clean/internet works quite well
- the fantastic roof terrace
- the place - to my experience - almost exclusively attracts open-minded people interested in getting to know each other

As the hostels homepage points out quite fairly: if you are looking for solitude you better choose one of those hotels designed for this purpose. But if you want to experience "freedom in travel" and are interested in meeting colorful people and a most friendly and supportive environment, you just choose Marrakech Rouge - simply because it is the best choice imaginable to that effect.

We chose the hostel to start our city-trip to Marrakech and so we stayed there the first two nights and also got an airport-transfer arranged because we arrived late in the evening.
Everything worked fine as arranged by mail before.
The hostel was nice but a bit cold in winter without a real rooth. The atmosphere was good, even though some parts of the staff were sometimes more interested in a cat that in travellers ;) But we were on holiday, so no big deal about the time.
Rooms and beds were cleaned well daily and the breakfast was great (and selfmade during day). They also offered good advice about restaurants etc. (even though I don't understand why travellers are told not to eat on Djemaa el-Fna at night).
All in all I can recommend staying there!

I enjoyed my time with Ali at Marrakech Rouge. He's super cool and was always eager to help and show everyone a good time. The place was always clean and my bed was very comfortable. The place was a little hard to navigate, especially at night, because of the poor lighting. Otherwise an awesome place for 95 dirham a night. Also well located, very close to Jemaa el Fna.

I spent four nights in this very cool structure - a moroccan riad transformed into the most colourful hostel ever - and I just loved it.
The position is great - not the easiest to find the first time, but a few minutes to the main square of Marrakech (Djemaa el Fna), in the very center of the medina.
The atmosphere is chilled-out and friendly and the staff is so nice and welcoming that it takes them just a few hours to make you feel at home.
Breakfast, moroccan tea and shisha included.
Definitely an amazing accomodation in an amazing city.

Highly recommended. RMR is one of the best hostels we have stayed at. Although the facilities (bathrooms, rooms) are fairly basic, the atmosphere is excellent, & the endless supply of free sheesha & tea, free breakfasts, & all the common areas/sun terrace makes it the ideal place to meet people. The guys working there are incredibly friendly and helpful (although not super fast). V useful location 5min walk from the main square, and the hostel is an ideal base for the different excursions they put on.We were a bit chilly in our room & the common area in the evening, but it was midwinter after all.
