The visit to the berber village was a bit of a culture shock. The museum is a steep climb up through the village and we were hassled for money from young boys. However, the villages were friendly and the guide showing us around the lovely museum is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He told us he had learnt to speak English in just five months at the beginning of this year. He told us the stories woven into the beautiful carpets and we saw how the homes and lives would have been years ago. He them took us on a guided walk through the valley around the village and explained a lot about life there today. It was a great experience and we felt very welcome.
