“Fantastic Riad”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

We stayed at the Chi Chi 4 nights and loved every minute. It has the most ideal location for a truly Moroccan stay in the Medina where the souks are at your doorstep - but, importantly, once you enter the Riad you are in a little paradise! The rooms and bathrooms are clean and luxurious, breakfasts are a treat and the staff is kind and very helpful.

This little oasis is a charming refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Souk. It is perfectly located to explore the architectural pearls of the Marracech Museum and the splendid Medersa, being just across the other side of the Ben Youssef Mosque. The suites are well appointed with commanding views from the rooftop terrace, and the staff precious.

Room Tip: Aubergine suite is well appointed

Wonderful Riad - wonderful Saleh & Kedisha, wonderful meals, more than helpful & supportive, I'll recommend it to everyone.
It was like coming home after a busy day in Marrakesh. Very familiar, very clean, calm & relaxing!

Room Tip: Take the Aubergine Room

This has got to be one of the best bargains in town. This tiny hotel is absolutely charming. It's beautifully decorated and spotless. The beds are comfortable and the amenities are just fine. The staff is super nice and helpful, making sure your visit is trouble-free as possible. If you stay here, make sure you try their dinner early on as you may want to repeat. We found it to be the best meal we had in Marrakech (surpassing some of the top 10 restaurants on Tripadvisor). You might want to order beverages at the same time you order your dinner (esp. if you want wine). Some caveats: First, the pool is really just a very small dipping pool. Second, getting to the riad requires a walk through a dark (somewhat smelly) alleyway -- you may or may not find this charming. Third, rooms are not at all sound-proof, so hopefully, you will have considerate guests (as we did). But you will hear the prayer calls at around 5am as well as the resident sparrow which comes around 6am. On the whole, though, we loved it.

My and my wife stayed at riad chi-chi after much Web searching by myself. After reading the reviews i booked without hesitation. What a great decision. Was worried the wife might not like a riad as it was a surprise for her but she loved it too. The riad is hidden away but once through the doors it is a beautifully built tranquil and relaxing riad. The service is second to none. Ibrahim and Salah are great hosts, from going out to find me a place to watch the footy to making coffee at 10.30pm. Always happy to help. The food cooked by Khatija is amongst the best in marrakech and a must for one evening at least. Clean rooms, nice breakfast and beautiful people. Never had a single problem.

It was charming from beginning to end the moment we walked through the hotel door.
We had a very nice restorative evening meal in the hotel on our first night which set us up
ready for our next days' first encounter of the 'Souks' for which you do need your wits about you. Our rooms were simple, very tasteful and spotlessly clean with superb hot shower. Nothing was too much trouble and this included one of the staff escorting one of my party for a visit to a Hammam. Also arranging a brilliant visit with guide to the Atlas mountains. A nice touch was that they gave us a mobile phone which enabled us to explore all the souks confidently knowing we could call the hotel to rescue us should we get lost.

after following the guide provided by the hotel through the Medina we were concerned when he took us down a quiet dark side alley leading seemingly nowhere, arriving at a door set in the wall of a traditional medina building we were ushered into a calm white oasis of delight, where we found great staff who were so helpful pleasant and cooked great meals, but beware you are in the heart of the medina right next to the souks where getting lost is a given and finding your way anywhere an artform not a science! accepting this as an exciting aspect to the holiday meant a fun totally absorbing experience of alleyways and squares, palaces and mosques, not for the faint of heart but a true taste of Marrakesh past, beyond the medina life returns to the 21st century with cool tree lined streets, through all this Riad Chi Chi provides a comfortable relaxing and welcoming calmness to regenerate and rejuvenate before diving back into the medina souks
