“Perfect base to explore Marrakech”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2011

This Riad is very well located, and when you get tired from exploring the souks (only 5 minutes walk away), a charmingly decorated room awaits you. Breakfast on the roof terrace with a fresh mint tea is just what you need to recharge for another day exploring the city.
The owners really go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
If you haven't stayed at a Riad before, you do need to be aware that there is not a lot of acoustic privacy with all of the rooms around a central courtyard, but the sound of the AC unit for some white noise quickly remedies this!
All-in-all, highly recommended!

I stayed at the Riad for Christmas 2010 with my Mum and Dad (Im 36!). We had separate rooms, both of which were very nice. The owners were very helpful and genuine and one of the highlights of our stay was the Christmas meal prepared for us on Christmas eve, with 2 other couples. There was more than enough food which was wonderful and we had some great entertainment from tradfitional Moroccon entertainers. We would definately stay there again. In particular it is located incredibly close to the main square, this being the most important thing for us. Rooms and bathrooms were beautiful, hot water a unreliable but dont let this put you off. My mum also had a special hammam etc which she loved and we were also impressed with the main house manager who spoke little english but was still lovely. The place is small with 6 bedrooms making it comforting and personal. Owners very helpful in helping you organise trips etc.

Friendly and committed owners and staff. Dine on the beautiful roof terrace is very special. We enjoyed the city and the riad.

A beautiful little Riad right in the centre of the sensory overload that is the old part of Marrakech. Hard to believe you're just a few minutes from the Jma el Fna once inside...only the distant sounds of the muezzins early in the morning might just disturb your sleep, but not for long. The 6 rooms all slightly different and traditionally decorated, and spotlessly clean. The two staff discrete but always helpful and friendly, and Khadija prepares a superb Moroccan meal, best taken at night on the roof terrace, with the Koutubia mosque lit up in the distance. My fourth visit to Marrakech, and my partner's first, but this is by far the nicest place I have stayed. Highly recommended. Niggles? Difficult to think of any.......seems petty to ask for a sink plug and a hook on the wall of the shower cubicle to hang the shower hose.....so I won't!

This Riad is a peaceful retreat away from the noise and traffic outside. The staff, though they don’t speak English are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the plasterwork being coloured and carved in the traditional way, each room has a different colour scheme. There is a roof terrace to relax on and a hamman, where you can book a massage as well.
The owners do speak English and couldn’t be more helpful. If you e mail them in advance they will arrange a taxi to pick you up at the airport. They will also arrange trips for you during your visit.
We would recommend the experience.
Un dejeuner a Marrakech restaurant. Visited September 2010
What a find. The food was wonderful; the staff and owner friendly; do not miss it. The pasta was to die for; the quality of the food was first class and the presentation a feast for the eyes. I wish we had a restaurant that good in our town.
Just be aware that it closes at 8pm other than that it is perfect.

A beautiful riad, very clean and conveniently located near the Djma el Fnaa square. The staff are very helpful, Rhadija in particular, who prepared a wonderful meal for us on one of the evenings we were there. Fabienne and Michael who run the riad were very helpful too with suggestions for places to eat and for tours around Marrakesh. We had a wonderful time!!!
