This was a great place to stop and have a rest. It was really clean with all the cakes in glass cabinets, so they weren't covered in flies! The staff there were particularly friendly and always had a smile which was a good thing. The ice-cream was pretty good too. We stopped here everyday for cake and tea on our four day trip to Marrakesh. It is very difficult for someone living in Italy to appreciate the cakes and ice-cream in another country, but we were really pleased to eat the delicious biscuits, particularly those specialities for ramadan. The excellent given is based on cake shops in Marroco not worldwide. So stop for a rest and order some cake, biscuits and a cup of tea!

This was family bribery at it's best! We had cakes and ice cream sundays here on different days and found it a haven just off the side of the square. An amazing selection of French and local pastries. Yummy.

Absolutely fantastic ice creams, many different varieties, like Figues, Avocado, Dates, etc. Simply divine!

how a place is regarded by the locals has got to have a lot of merit! so ive been here a few times - i normally go and have breakfast or coffee and a snack at Cafe/Snack Toubkal in the Djma Elfna because the prices are a bargain and the quality is good - it can be found not far from where Ba Agnaou meets Djma Elfna
- but if i want to go somewhere a little quieter or with air con this place is still reasonably priced for nice coffee and orange juice, and its given good regard for its patisseries by the locals (Moroccans love good biscuits and things for their many special celebrations, for guests and so on so theyre almost a staple in their lives)

and certainly its handier to get to if ive been staying nearby.

You dont have to buy a whole kg as suggested in another poster's review - you can get a small box of 200g if you want! but a nice idea for gifts is to get several small boxes to take home with you - they are always nicely boxed and ribboned and can then can be wrapped further if wished
