Spent 4 days here at the beginning of an 8 day moroccan adventure including marrakech and Fez. Riad andalla is perfectly located within a minute of the main square, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the square for evening chillax.
The rooms are authentically decorated with intricate beautiful features and decor, and the ambience is of relaxation, authenticity and a lovely family vibe.
This is chiefly due to the proprietors, Christophe, was very accomodating and friendly and helped expedite further travel and local activities.
Thoroughly recommended, a bargain at the price, you wont regret it!

Many thanks to Christophe, Andre and Mohamed for their fantastic hospitality during our recent stay at the Riad Andalla. They were always willing to help out with arrangements and advice on places to visit and how helped us settle quickly into Marrakech life. The location of their Riad is perfect, overlooking the Place Djemaa El Fna and provided an ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Medina. A few days spent here combined with a few days spent on the coast provided us with an ideal week's break.

The riad has a Great location, great staff, breakfast was good, nice room with air condition. The only problem when you are travelling as a couple: no door to the bathroom, only a curtain. I stayed only one night.

We want to extend our gratitute to Mohamed, christophe and Andre for their help, smiles and friendly attitude. You will find that most of the locals, street locals, that is, are friendly for money. They can be nasty and really umpleasant pushing you to hire them as guides, misguiding you to buy things you don't want and pretending to help you to find your way out of the Medina. When you here them telling you "FERME or closed in english", just ignore them.
Riad Andalla, is a no frills Riad, very well located and quite difficult to find, the first time only.
First suggestion to the guys is to draw a simple map, starting from CAFE DE FRANCE, a landmark in Marrakech, to the labyrint alleys that lead to the Riad. It is very simple once you have been at the Riad once.
Rooms are in three different floors, they are small with two single beds or a double, with a private bathroom and a curtain dividing the room and the bathroom, which can be at times unconfortable, for, there are no windows to the outside and no extractor. So watch what you eat...All the rooms have wooden doors open to the courtyard and a curtain. You can actually have the doors open and the curtains closed for privacy. we found it completely safe. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 but they will accomadate your needs in case of an early departure or if you sleep in. Coffee, fresh orange juice, bread and gem. A suggestion, add some fresh fruits, since they are all over Morrocco and are very good and inexpensive, specially grapes and apples. Also, I would see some croissants, and occasionally some cheese. So, Mohamed get in the oven and do some baking...
Mohamed, the night watcher is always there when you need him, with a big smile and very sincere and speak fluent english, Cristhope will help you get around the city giving you maps and explain in details where to go, also with very good english with a french accent and Andre gave us excellent recommendations for eating. All the places were a hit, even though Andre does not speak english well, he loves for the guests to speak to him in english so he can learn. Make sure you talk to him in English even if he says he doesn't understand. He is a charmer.
Riad Andalla was a pleasure full of excitment and fun. Good luck guys.

My husband and I stayed at the Riad as a treat for his 30th birthday. What a fantastic time we had! The staff were always extremely friendly and welcoming. Christophe and Andre were away on holiday while we were there, but Sandrine who was watching over the riad also had excellent knowledge of the area and was only too happy to make reservations for us. For my husband's birthday, Sandrine and the staff bought him a lovely card and present. They even arranged for a cake as a surprise in the restaurant we ate in that night.

Rooms are compact, but beautifully decorated and cleaned every day. There was a good supply of hot water, and we were provided with a fresh supply of towels daily. The air conditioning in August was a must! The location of the riad to the main square could not be beaten and the views from the terrace are just amazing. It is so lovely to just sit and read, while watching the food markets set up for the evening. The mint tea served at the riad could not be beaten anywhere else we went in Marrakech!

Our absolute favourite days was a cooking class at 'Les ateliers lalla Fatima', which can be booked through the riad. Fatima took us and another couple out shopping for food and spices. We then went back to her house and cooked our tagines, while been given various different breads, cheeses and biscuits to try. A brilliant experience!

Overall I would highly recommend staying at Riad Andalla. I have already booked my next stay for February next year!

We stayed 2 nights in Riad Andalla as start of our 10 day Maroc Roundtrip. It was a very pleasant stay. Warm welcome by Christophe with some good get-around-tips. From the rooftop terrace you have an excellent view on Jeema el Fna.

We stayed in Ryad Andalla for a week in total (when we first arrived in Marrakesh and before heading home)
Tastefully decorated (each room with a different theme) and extremely clean, this ryad has everything you need:
- an awesome terrace with direct view on Djemaa el Fna (gives you the feeling to be part of it)
- very close to the main square  (I think you ll struggle to find closer)
- great rooms ( beautiful, big enough and very clean)
- very good breakfast
- good tips on what to do/not to do in Marrakesh
- nice welcoming mint tea and biscuits
- very helpful and friendly staff
Christophe and André are wonderful hosts and make your stay the most enjoyable. Their close relationship with clients and staff is the reason why you feel very well looked after. They genuinely care about making your stay as pleasant as possible.
I am shocked to read the negative comment as she is complaining about our arrival. We had just arrived in the patio, it wasn't late and we were not loud and the staff was patient and caring to help her feel better.  I m sorry for her that she had a bad time there as her own experience is not reflective at all on what the ryad has to offer. Just make sure you close the seal in the shower and you won't be disturb at all by the smell!
Thanks to Christophe, André and their staff for such a pleasant time!
Emilie
