This trip felt more like going away with friends rather than an organised group as all the staff were incredibly friendly and dedicated to ensuring that everyone was having a good time. It was my first time rafting and apparently the water level was extremely high but this made the rafting a lot more exciting. The instructions from the guides were extremely clear and made rafting through the rapids fun and easy. Also the food on the trip was pretty great. I already have recommended this trip and company to my friends who are visiting Morroco and would recommend this trip to everyone visiting Morroco who is up for a lot of fun and enjoyment, along with many beautiful things you get to see along the way.

We booked rafting on Ourika River plus canyoning, a whole day, 215,-- Euros, on April 11th.

Splash Morocco, Marcie, confirmed explicitly by email, that me and my both sons 15 and 13 y.o. could all participate in both trips!!

After having left the hotel, the guide, John, stopped the bus and declared, he will not let participate persons under 16 in rafting, so we could go back to the hotel or just take part in the canyoning trip. So we went for the canyoning, because it was our last day in Marrakech.

He declared, we will definitely get a refund for the part rafting, because this was a completely wrong information and a mistake of the company.

The truth is: after the canyoning trip, nobody gave us a refund, nobody answered our emails or SMS or even gave us a call.

For a trip like that, you should go to a professional company – not to Splash Morocco!

Splash Morocco? Never again!!

Alex

I'm very sad to hear you were disappointed with your experience with us here in Morocco. As you'll see from the vast majority of our other reviews, we do take customer service very seriously and I can only apologise for the incorrect information you received at the time of booking. This was an honest mistake and I hope it didn't spoil your holiday or inconvenience you too much. Our top priority is the safety of our clients and if the guides felt that the river was too high on the day to take your kids on the water, I stand by their decision. We only employ trained and experienced professionals on our adventure activities and I hope this was evident on the canyoning trip.

I will ensure that a full refund makes it's way to you directly as soon as possible and maybe we can take you out again in the very near future.

If you want to get close to the edge then this is for you. We (2 adults 50+ and our two daughters 20,17) had the time of our lives rafting down the Ahansel River. We have never rafted before but with the help of our incredible guides Jillian and John we made it through tens of rapids graded at level 1-3a.
On the first day you travel to the mountains via the Cascades d'Ouzoud (amazing waterfall). In the evening you camp out (this is sleeping bags and dug toilets, no pain, no gain). The next morning after open air breakfast you raft for 2+ hours down the river. Really incredible rapids and non-stop activity. You then stop for lunch (quite how we stopped I shall never know. The guides have incredible skill. It is no exaggeration to say that your life is in their hands). The guides have brought everything with them and it was all packed into the two rafts so out comes the kit and we have a fantastic picnic lunch on the rocks. Then it's all loaded back in and off you go again for another 2 exhilarating hours. Somehow we stopped whilst in the middle of another raging torrent so that we could camp for the night. This time we stripped both rafts of all kit and we set up our tents ourselves whilst Jillian and John got on with digging the toilet, starting the camp fire and cooking the tea. Jillian made a fantastic mexican meal which we ate round the fire. There is only one way to get to where we were and that is by raft and as we were the only ones on the river it was just us and nature. In the morning Jillian cooked the breakfast and then we loaded up the rafts (big job, at least an hour) and off we went again. I think John said it was gorge No.4 but it was no wider that two rafts in places and when you are travelling at breakneck speeds it requires great skill to stay the right way up (not our skill, we followed instructions). After another two hours you reach your destination and are towed across the lake to get changed and begin your journey back.
If you are looking for a holiday with a difference then you must do Marrakech for a week and include this. You have got to be prepared to 'rough it' whilst you are on the river. You have got to be prepared to get wet and maybe feel cold if it's cloudy. But the rewards are incredible; the rafting is amazing and the fact is that you are going where very few people have ever been because this is the only way to get there.
Andy at Splash was always on hand pre and during the trip to help out so I can't fault it.

Service couldn't have been better. Exceptionally friendly staff and made to feel very at home. Tour leader Andy was amazing!! Stayed in beautiful Albakech House, went canyoning in the Atlas mountains and surfed on the coast all in the space of a few days - fun times all round. Would recommend this holiday to anyone! :)

We stayed at Riad Dar Atta in June for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. After being picked up from the airport by Ismail we arrived at the Riad welcomed with some lovely tea and friendly hosts. After taking full advantage of the activities such as tubing (a must in the hot weather!) and quad biking Andy and his colleagues made our stay even more fun, escorting us to the local shops and sharing a drink in the evening. The breakfast is so yummy and the rooms clean and comfortable. It is perfectly located for the centre of marrakech. I can highly recommend the Riad for the younger, more active traveller. Thanks Andy and gang!!
