I had the best massage ever, The Riad is very tranquil.
The Waiter is called Reduan, which is almost pronounced Red Wine. But of course his name isnt actually Red Wine, it is just his way of getting non Moroccans to pronounce his name. Friendly and helpful as he is, I find this slightly patronising. However no complaints, Lovely place to stay, inside the Medina. Walking distance to most places you would want to visit. Fantastic. Lunches were great at the Riad, dinner not so good.

I stayed in the Riad Utopia for 7 Nights in June 2010. We absolutely loved the riad, the decor, the cleanliness and the lovely Redouane-the host who looked after us throughout our stay!

The riad has french simplicity with a stylish moroccan feel and each room is stylishly beautiful and comfortable! All rooms are finished to a very high standard, and are a world away from the intensely busy world outside!

All our rooms were cleaned to a very high standard and on a daily basis, Redouane (Red Wine) attended to our every need, booked our excursions with knowledgeqble and english speaking local operators and was always smiling! :)

The pool is small and cute, and centered within the inner open courtyard and is great for dipping your toes in after a busy day wandering around the maze like medina outside and waking up to bird song is just beauty in luxurious surroundings.

There is also an upper terrace for sunbathing.

I would recommend the riad for romance, leisure & relaxation, short & long stays & for just simple fun! Absolutely loved it!

We were a group of 6 ladies on our first visit to Marrakech and we actually stayed at Riad Africa which is next door to Utopia but we visited Utopia for their spa facilities and it is really lovely. We were looked after by Redwan, shown round the hotel, served Mint tea and given full use of the facilities whilst we all had pedicures - couldn't have asked for more.

Thank you for the lovely holidays we had in Riad Utopia. We spend there 3 nights with a group of friends (16 persons), so we had the riad for ourself!
The owners were very helpful in booking our diners & activities. De service of "redwine" was charming & great. The taste of the interior, rooms & terrace is magical. We had the first night a delecious diner on the roof terrace. Ok there were some problems of warm water, but don't forget this is Marocco!

I stayed at the Riad for 5 days in December with 2 colleagues of mine, and really enjoyed my days at the Riad Utopia. The rooms are very spacious, and designed in a very neat mix of traditional with modern elements. This is clearly a matter of taste, but I think my room is probably one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in - really made me feel like some important figures from 1001 nights at times.

It is pretty clear, that the place has been finished only very recently, so I can understand some of the comments others made. Water is indeed sometimes more luke-warm than hot, and the fact that you cannot lock your room a bit worrying if you happen to travel with things of a certain value. Service is sometimes very slow, so if you are in a rush in the morning, I would recommend to have your breakfast elsewhere - but then again, this is not a place where you are supposed to be in a rush anyway. On the other hand, people at the Riad are amazingly friendly, and always make you feel welcome and at home.

I also had dinner a few times; the food is excellent, even if a bit on the pricey side; they also serve alcohol (which is not the case in all Riads); hard to beat a decent glass of wine on the rooftop enjoying a pleasant summer/fall night...
