Me and my family (two adults and two youths of 12 and 15 years) we stayed 4 nights at this magnificent Ryad. When we arrived at the airport Youssef was waiting to take us to Ryad. Youssef is the friendliest and most helpful moroccan we can know. He is extremely helpful and attentive to any need. The first night, he went with us to the square Jmaa El Fna and give his phone number to help us with whatever we need. All the staff of ryad is extremely friendly and attentive.
Ryad Noura is an oasis amid the joyful Marrakeck. It is a very nice guest house, very secure and clean, where we feel at home. If we want, they made us an excellent good Moroccan meal (ask for harira). My kids loved very much the Ryad and felt very quiet when we arrived.
My daughter wanted to do a henna tattoo that promptly was very well done by an attentive girl who works in the Ryad, far better than in the Jmaa el Fna square where they ask a lot of money for chemicals. They can call also a masseuse to your room at an affordable price or organize a short trip if guest wants.
All staff members were pleasant and willing to go above and beyond what was expected and we want to thanks especially Youssef a man with a great smile and a great art of hospitality. Shukran and Salam Ailakum Youssef.
To repeat as soon as possible.
(don't forget the excelent breakfast in the terrace)

Would fully agree with everything written on previous reviews. A beautiful Morrocan retreat from all the madness of Marrakech. Thanks to Youssef you instantly feel safe and at home. We stayed 5 nights and received free pick up from airport which was a great relief - especially with the narrow alleys you are initially faced with. However, as previously mentioned Youssef takes all that worry away. Didnt try to change money at airport but plenty of bureau de change places with one just around the corner - same rate everywhere so dont waste time comparing. Often greeted with olives and nuts when seated in the public areas. Yousef always there to greet you on your return with a big friendly smile and genuinely interested in our adventures and if he could help in anyway. Would recommend a meal in the riad - lovely food and great to return to a peaceful haven and have a wonderful meal. Rooms also very comfortable and clean - with fresh towels daily.

WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND !!

I stayed in this Ryad for four nights just this week.Others have written about Youssef and his hospitality-it's all true .He was going to pick us up from the the airport but we arrived an hour early and through no ones fault we missed each other. On arrival at the ryad we were oriented with a map and after washing up Youssef took us to the main square ( El Fna) via the route we were to use over the next few days.
We stayed in the bedroom 'samira' which had a double bed and small single in the same room. The room was very clean-no dust anywhere.there are lovely shutters which have glass in.The bathroom is spacious with a shower with hot water and a very very large bath. The Ryad itself has lots of lovely little corners which are beautifully decorated and allow you to escape for a quiet moment. The terrace is where you eat breakfast which is very hearty and ample.pancake most days with an egg one day.Baguette every day with lovely jams.Fresh orange juice and coffee/mint tea.On our last day we were driven to the airport again-a really great service. All in all I would recommend this accommodation but read on for some other advice in general.
...Do NOT change money in the airport.you can use euros to get into Marrakesh in a taxi. There are plenty of places to change money for this in Marrakesh itself and in the case of Ryad Noura-you pass one every time you go/come from the Ryad. The reason for this is that there were about 50 people in the queue I joined in the airport and one man serving them all. After staying in this q for 40 mins it was unceremoniously closed without a warning-terrible introduction to the country!
...Marrakesh is quite difficult for women who are either travelling on their own.Im sure the motivation is not malignant- but the constant barrage of 'hello/lets talk/kissing noises/ etc gets really wearing.wearing a scarf had no benefit at all!
... when you arrive you cannot park/drive to the door of the ryad given the fact that it is in the medina and is down a little alley.Because of this you walk to the riad-not a problem-takes two minutes from where the taxi stops. However it can feel a little scary the first few times you do it simply because it is quiet and a bit dark at night-I did have a wee torch with me and used it a few times! The are is very safe.
...we paid 50 dirhams to get to and from the main square in a taxi -they tried it on at night saying the fare was higher but stand your ground and it is fine.
...paid 50 dirhams to get to the Jardins Majorelle but taxi driver tried to get 100 on way back 'because have to pay for parking'.I must at this stage I had had enough of all the haggling and just said I wasnt paying any more than 50-ie the price I paid to get there.he agreed immediately.
...ask Youssef about Hammam-you wont regret it!
...I can strongly recommend the Marrakshi restaurant just off the main square-Youssef took us there the first night we got to Marrakesh-not the cheapest but amazing food. The three course menu is too much for the non obese in my opinion.

Overall I would have no hesitation to recommend this riad-its fantastic. But the whole atmosphere in Marraksh I felt a little challenging travelling with another female. I'm sure this is different if you are with a male companion.

My husband and I reserved two nights here, and then extended for a week. We loved this Ryad. It's right in the medina, within easy walking distance to restaurants, the souks and Jmaa el Fna, but also quiet and peaceful at night. Youssef was the perfect host. He showed us how to navigate the alleys, which turned out to be easy and very safe even at night. He greeted us with tea, coffee, beer/wine and pastries, which we had by the candlelit pool at night and also on the roof top terrace in the afternoons. Our room was lovely, quiet and immaculately cleaned every day. We explored Marrakesh by foot during the days, and Youssef even arranged a day trip up to the mountains for us. We tried a different restaurant every night - by far though, our best meal in Marrakesh was at the Ryad. We highly recommend staying at Ryad Noura.

I stayed here for 2 nights with a large group of guys. Upon arrival we were abit taken aback due to the narrow and one or two dimlit alleyways we had to navigate to get to the hotel. However upon entering we were greeting by yousif who helps run the ryad, he was extremely helpful and welcoming. We had to change the number of nights we were staying and then we had to get an extra bed at the last min and both were no problem. He was also fine if we wanted to have breakfast late or early. The rooms were compact but large enough and very nice. The hotel is ideal for couples looking for something authentic and romantic. Even on the outside of the ryad, once you navigate through the winding alleyways once or twice the trip is easy, we also felt very safe even coming back at a late hour.

We arrived in Marrakech to be greeted by Youssef, who looked after us during our stay. I must admit that we were slightly concerned when we followed him down narrow streets and dark alleys, however, when the door opened up to reveal an oasis amonst the chaos of the medina, we were delighted!

Breakfast was superb on the roof terrace, room was lovely and both Youssef and Caryl the owner were fantastic hosts, recommending restaurants, hammans and places to go (and walking us to some of them!).

We enjoyed chilling out on the terrace and downstairs around the plunge pool.

Our only criticism would be that you need to be confident to navigate the winding streets back late at night, as it's a 15 minute walk from the main square.

Other than that we had an amazing stay, and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

A beaming smile and a friendly handshake at the airport was our first experience of Ryad Noura.

After a gentle and informative drive into the Medina with Yusuf, we arrived at the Ryad to another friendly welcome from Caryl, the owner.

Glasses of sweet and very refreshing mint tea magically appeared and delicate Moroccan sweets were served as we filled in the (obligatory) registration paper.

Ryad Noura exudes a wonderful calmness, with thoughtful decoration and carefully chosen embellishments as well as the plunge pool, palm tree and plenty of thoughtfully placed pouffes, couches and seats to relax on. A cosmopolitan collection of magazines and books assures that you will not be bored.

For anyone that simply has to get some work done, or make calls, there is excellent wi-fi and great mobile reception.

Part of the charm of this Ryad is how kindly and helpful both Yusuf and Caryl and the rest of the staff are: as it was our first time in Marrakech, we were presented with a map, shown the best places to eat and visit and what to look out for (and what to avoid!). We were then guided down to ‘The Square’, the Place dJemaa el-Fna by Yusuf, both to look around and to eat. We were given detailed instructions on how to get back + a mobile number ‘for any eventuality’. Directions were perfect, so the number was never needed.

Upon our return, we were offered coffee, mint tea and delicate nibbles; nothing was too much trouble

Tucked away as it is in the depths of the historic Medina, there is little noise bar the occasional (but muted) muezzin to disturb you, and not a whisper of traffic. On our first morning, having closed the shutters, the day was well advanced before we awoke from a totally undisturbed sleep. Fortunately the ever kindly Yusuf is used to such happenings and a delicious breakfast of honey pancakes, freshly pressed orange juice and delectable coffee (or tea / chocolate) was produced, despite the late hour.

Ryad Noura has 4 guest rooms and even when full, it is hard to tell. All rooms are beautifully furnished in traditional Moroccan style, with European essentials blended in. All rooms have an air conditioner / heater when required and there is plenty of space to sit around the Ryad and on the secluded roof terrace.

Evening meals and lunch are possible by prior arrangement, but most guests eat out in restaurants locally or in the square, a 15 minute walk away.

Marrakech is a true experience, even after travelling in many parts of North Africa. The Ryad was a haven of tranquillity and Yusuf and Caryl never failed to make us welcome on our return, whatever the time.

We were truly sad to leave this wonderful Ryad and will surely return many times.

Heartily recommended!
