This is a very nice little Riad with very friendly and helpful staff. It is situated about 20 minutes walk from the main square and 10 minutes from the Souks. The location may not be to everyone's preference as it is away from the main concentration of hotels and attractions, but we found it was nice to escape the hustle & bustle.

The facilities at the Riad are fairly basic, but it is clean and comfortable. Maybe it could do with a bit of freshening up, but there's nothing in particular to fault. Breakfast was served to us in the courtyard whenever we wanted which was great.

It is easy to get lost when trying to navigate your way back to the Riad via the Souks, although it is part of the experience in Marrakech. Alternatively it is easy to get a taxi anywhere with a road (they flag you down!) and it is very cheap - approx £3-4 from anywhere around town.

The only problem we had was with the morning prayers being broadcast over loudspeakers from the Mosque next door. Perhaps it adds a little something to the whole experience, but it's pretty loud for 15 minutes every morning at sunrise! Not a problem if you like waking early, otherwise pack a pair of earplugs! :-)

Overall a very good choice for cheap, comfortable accommodation in the Medina.

Riad was immense: spacious and immaculately clean. Very welcoming and friendly. Easy place to walk around, felt extremely safe. Taxis fantastic. Everything ridiculously cheap. Restaurant Dar Zellij is amazing. Lots to do and see, monuments, palaces and historical sites. Souks were great for shopping. Locals friendly, generally spoke french. Djemaa el Fna awesome every evening.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in October and we really enjoyed our stay. We got lost trying to find the riad on our first night and as it was dark when we arrived we had to rely on a local to show us the way (for a tip of course)!

When we got there Abdiliah said had we got in touch he would have sent a car which would have been a lot less stressful - definitely recommend doing this.

The souks and bidi ben slimane are a total maze but actually once you know where it is the riad is pretty easy to get back to, it might take a day or two to navigate yourself around the rest! Also, the riad is really close to the taxi drop off and although we preferred to walk you could get a taxi back if you got totally lost.

The riad was really friendly, rooms were clean and always hot water for the shower. Room was kept really cool too. Yes you get woken by the call to prayer (5am every morning) but this is to be expected in muslim countries. You do get better at sleeping through most of it as the stay goes on!

Breakfast was nice with fresh orange juice, certainly enough to set you up for the day. Abdilah will ring local spa's etc for you if you want to book a hammam, he is really helpful in that way.

On our final day, our flight wasnt until 8pm and Abdilah let us keep our room since no-one else was booked it which meant we could have another day exploring knowing that we could shower and pack later. We really appreciated this.

In all, I would really recommend this lovely little place, the price was amazing and would way prefer to stay here then some impersonal 5* hotel, this riad gives you a real taste of Morrocco

My partner and I stayed here back in march and it was only after watching the programme "attack of the trip advisor" that I now feel the need to give an honest review of every hotel I have stayed at as this is so detrimental to the livelihoods of small hotels and businesses.
The small riad is like home from home and the location is amazing. It is areal r retreat from the hustle and bustle of this crazy and wonderful city and the staff are attentive to your every need but never intrusive. I would highly recommend everyone to stay here to get a real feel of the true marrakesh. I'm sure the big 5* all inclusive hotels outside the walls have everything you need for a great holiday, but let's face it you could be anywhere. Visit Ineslisa and I promise you won't want to leave.

We picked this Riad for position, price and other trip advisors reviews. We were not disappointed. It was lovely. Very quiet, spotlessly clean with friendly, helpful staff. Also as a must for us English with school French the manager spoke excellent English. Nothing was too much trouble. The supper lamb tagine was delicious. It was an oasis in the desert after a day in the Souks and the night market.

Room Tip: We faced the square and opposite the mosque so the "call to prayer" woke us up very early...

My fiance and I stayed at the Riad Inelisa for 4 nights from 6th September to 10th September. On arrival, we were met at the airport by a driver who drove us into the medina to meet Abdilih around the corner from the Riad. I really recommend booking this 'air port pick up' as the Riad is hard to find and even if you have a map, there don't seem to be many street names around. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were welcomed by lovely staff (Abdihli and Latifia) and we also met the owner Paolo who was very helpful in recommending places to visit, how to get around and will help book excursions (He helped us book a camel ride at sunset in the Palmerie area at half the price advertised to tourists!).
Our room was beautiful, really comfy bed, lovely and cool (air conditioned) with a beautiful en suite bathroom with a fantastic shower! Refreshments are available at any time - Abdhili is so accomodating, he'll do anything to help.
Breakfast was lovely and served from 7.30ish although we tended to have breakfast from 9am-10.30, i think you can have it whatever time you like. Orange juice, coffee, breads, crepes and pastries with a selection of jams and marmalades ( i loved the fig jam!). Breakfast is served on the terrace in the middle of the Riad and makes a lovely meeting point to chat and have a drink with other guests at the Riad.
Marrakech itself is a sight for the senses, we had a great time wandering the souks, we took a camel ride at sunset in the Palmerie area (this was AMAZING as the storks all arrive to sit on the palm trees at this time and they look fantastic silouetted against the red and orange skyline). We toured all the sights, ate lots of tagines and cous cous. When we felt like it, we would often pop into one of the 5 star hotels for a cool beer or orange juice (for this, the Jardins De La Koutoubia -very near the souks is great and the La Sultana - near the tombs are great). The Jemna el fna was a great place to start - we headed here on our first night - walking from the Riad - took about 20 minutes and we had dinner in one of the roof top cafes overlooking the square (much more peaceful and an amazing view!).
In terms of what you'll read about hassle, well, yes, you will get people trying to guide you to places and then perhaps asking for some money - but dont let this put you off. We found Marrakech to be a really safe place - we walked around all night - after a few days you get used to ignoring the calls from people trying to get your attention and it's fine. In terms of giving people money, one guy did help us when we were lost and we gave him 10 dirhams but don't feel bad about just saying No, thank you and walking off. We did this a lot too :)
The Riad's situation in the north of the medina gives a quiter location to take sanctuary from the hussle and bussle but it is still close enough to walk about, we walked from the Riad to the Koutoubia Mosque one day.
I want to take all my friends back to Riad Inelisa, it was such a great find! I loved it so much, I'll happily answer any emails relating to how lovely the place is - pinkpinti@hotmail.com!

This was a lovely riad. It was really homely and had a nice nice central courtyard where we were served mint tea on arrival which was a really nice welcome. Our room was small but really cosy and good value for money.

The location is perfect. It is about a 10 minute walk to the square, although you will get lost the first time! Once you work out how to get there and back it is definitely the best part of town to be in. It is less touristy and felt very safe and friendly. You can hear the call to prayer first thing in the morning as it is right next to a mosque but we really liked that.

I had read a lot about children pestering people but we did not find this to be the case at all. There was a group of children playing outside the riad all of the time and they didn't hassle us at all and were very friendly. There was an internet cafe just across from the riad as well where a very helpful kid helped us work out how to use the keyboard.

The roof terrace was really nice if you want to relax and the breakfast was lovely. We had lunch on arrival too which I would recommend as it was very nice.

The staff were always helpful and they made sure we always had enough water which was a nice touch,

I would definitely recommend this riad as a cosy and quiet place to escape the hectic streets of Marrakech.
