I am not really into giving reviews, but after my stay at Dar Rocmarra, I felt I had to. The Riad is beautiful, immaculate and peaceful. We stayed in The Douria Suite (its huge!), which was perfect for a romantic getaway. We arrived to rose petals in over the bed, fresh roses in the room and bathroom. The breakfast was lovely - fresh orange juice (the best I have ever tasted!), pancakes, eggs, fresh bread and fruit. Jamilia was great - she booked restaurants for us and knew the answer to anything we asked. You will not be disappointed staying at Dar Rocmarra!

We were very glad we stayed in this wonderful, peaceful riad which was the perfect antidote to the mayhem that is Marrakech. Jamilla and her team were fabulous and gave us all the local info we needed. Excellent location close to the main square and the souks so we could easily return for a rest and some mint tea when outside got too much! Really relaxing atmosphere.

We have just returned from our trip, we had 5 nights in this delightful riad and 2 in the mountains.
You will see that there is high customer satisfaction relected in the reviews, certainly we agree that this was an excellent choice for us.
Jamila runs the hotel for the English owners, this means that the riad is decorated to a tasteful more understated style which is both beautiful and calming yet you have local staff who can help with your problems. They are friendly and kind.
Jamila is a wonderful cook ,we ate there two evenings and heartilly recommend her cooking. Also important, the wines have been carefully selected by the owners and I found the white most palatable. ( This is from a woman who usually critical of hopitality venue wines.) Breakfast is varied and tasty
Our room ,Johara, was perfect for me because the bed is memory foam. I often suffer on holiday with hard beds which results in poor sleep and miserable holidays but this was wonderfully comfortable for both me and my husband. The sheets were great quality and the decor very tasteful.Johara also has a big bath which I much prefer but often cannot find.
This is such a peaceful place to return to after the noise and chaos, there was no traffic noise because there is no passing traffic. We often woke to the sound of birds.
The location is perfectly safe, it is necessary to walk down small lanes to reach the riad but the general area is good. It is a short walk to the taxi area or about 15 minutes walk to the square.
We would be glad to return.

It was obvious from the moment we walked in that we were going to love this place. The weather outside was hotter than we expected and we still had our heavy jackets on following our flight from a chilly London. On entering Dar Rocmarra the first thing that pleased me was the gentle sound of the indoor water feature. Which looked like a copper art installation, supplied the pond beneath with a constant stream that echoed around the bright lounge area. We were promptly offered mint tea and cakes by a very welcoming manageress. We sat there for a while grinning and sipping our tea before walking up to our room. We booked the Douria which was immaculate and very tastefully furnished. Sensitive use of colour along with well chosen art and furniture made the whole experience even more appealing. The photos do not do this place justice as they cannot convey the overall sense of calmness and feeling of relaxation which I found quite refreshing. Over the next three nights we were treated by genuinely warm and courteous staff providing excellent food and concierge service which would give any top hotel a run for its money. The location is excellent too. We`ll definitely return.

Situated 10 mins walk to the medina both my wife and i enjoyed our stay at the above riad,The riad which is tastefully decorated instills calmness and serenity to thoes who stay. The service was very good as was the food prepared in the kitchen with fresh produce.Jamila who runs the riad was always at hand to advise and sort out any of our concerns and always with a smile, nothing was too much for her and her crew. For thoes intending to go there,i would suggest you look them up as their room prices are moderate and good value for money.
we intend going back there again for a short stay as we found it warm and comforting
