Very nice Riad with helpful employees. Close to everything. Small pleasant swimming pool especially after hot days. Simple lunches and very good dinner on rooftops. Superior room was large and bed very comfortable.

Mohamed was the most hospitable host I have come across in a long time. From welcoming my friend and I at the airport to dropping us back at the airport on departure - he could not do enough to help us during our 4 day stay at Riad El Farah.

Mohamed is an excellent tour guide and provides (courtesy of his housekeeper!) some lovely Moroccan meals. All of which are provided at such reasonable prices. Also if you would like a cup of tea during the day, there is always one available.

I had a special birthday while staying and Mohamed provided a lovely three course dinner on the night of my birthday - which was much appreciated.

Only one disappointment was that we didn't get to see the waterfalls up in the Atlas Mountains and perhaps a bit more of the mountains themselves.

Yes, this is a small Riad and is in a very quiet part of Marrakech. Yes, it is about a 10 minute (interesting) walk from the carpark to the Riad but Mohamed is there to help with one's luggage and, of course, the first time to guide you to his Riad down the narrow passage ways of the Medina.

My friend and I had the room with two single beds - a comfortable room but it would have been nice to have had a radio to listen to in the morning or evening.

Mohamed, who owns the riad, is an excellent host. He made me feel like part of his family and could not have been any more hospitable. Mohamed acts as tour guide and takes guests on trips. I also arranged airport transfers, which were great, no hassle on arrival in a new country. The food was amazing, huge portions! I am vegetarian and was catered for with no problem. The location of the riad is excellent, close to all the tourist attractions. I stayed in the riad on my own (middle aged British woman) and felt safe all of the time. I would thoroughly recommend this riad and would definitely stay again.

We spent six nights at this delightful property. Our host and his staff made our visit really enjoyable. It is in a great location and the area is safe and peaceful. We were impressed by our host and the welcome we received.

We made a reservation for two nights. Mohamed, the owner, suggested us to take a small yellow cab from the airport, for €20. The taxi drop us at the Tombaux Saadiens and then Mohamed came to guide us through the small alleyways until we arrive at number 35, it is a 10 minutes’ walk with your bags. Mohamed helped us carrying one of them. The house is really Mohamed’s house, it has a square patio in the middle and it is a two story building plus roof. Mohamed lives in the first floor, and guest rooms are in the second floor.

Our expectations were to find a kind of simple and charm, small hotel or something like that. We were disappointed because it fails to comply some basics: we were not allowed to put the air conditioning on, Mohamed insisted it was not necessary although there were 24ºC by midnight. He finally brought the fan he uses and leave it in our room. We decided to sleep with our two windows open, one looks to the next building, in construction, the other one separate us from the corridor, and so anyone could look at or get inside the room. The doors and windows doesn’t close completely, including the door to the bathroom. There were not even a soap or shampoo, the shower holder doesn’t work, the inside was rather dark, and there were no shower curtains.

The breakfast was less than basic: bread and butter, some type of jam, hot tea or coffee, milk, and that’s it.

We finally decided to lose one night and we quit the next morning. Mohamed is very nice and helpful, but that is not enough to offer a good service.

Room Tip: Good for students or people, backpackers, all the romos are located on the second floor, and are quite similar.
