“Relaxing in Marrakech”
Reviewed October 17, 2011

Lovely Riad in the heart of Marrakech, 2 mins from the square and the Souks, beautifully decorated in a traditional manor, very calm and serene. Breakfasts are lovely. Mojitos are deadly!!!! Breakfast is on the roof although if you dont like bees beware, cause the honey is delish, not only for humans!! Staff are very helpful. We didnt eat here but seemingly you can and the food is fab. You can wait a good 10 mins for a drink tho, service is a bit slow (mind you there are 3 floors to go up) so order another drink before you've finished the one you've got. There is a "pool" that you can dip into but this is in the reception area.
Beautiful hotel and would definately go back - without kids!

Room Tip: We had the Emerald suite which was in a courtyard with 3 other room. Lovely and quite.

I stayed here for 2 nights and frankly it wasn't enough! We booked the raid for 2 friends birthdays and I stayed in the amethyst suite, it was gorgeous lots of rich fabics, beautifully decorated and so peaceful. Marie Annick & all her staff were really lovely, organising all our transfers including very early morning ones and breakfast out of normal hours, trips and excursion, and massages & treatments in the hotel which were excellent. I can highly recommend the cooking class at La Maison Arabe and the Raid buggy trip, both great fun! The food at the Riad was wonderful we all ate there on the first night and they even produced a birthday cake for my friends. The restaurant they recommended for the birthday night was fabulous, they even sent one of the staff with us to make sure we got there and sent someone to bring us back. The raid is really central so very easy to visit the souks and return with all your purchases! The staff made our stay really memorable and the roof too terrace is perfect! Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this fantastic Riad for 5 nights and had a wonderful time in Marakech. A wonderful chilled and relaxing location in the heart of all the hustle and bustle, hidden away just minutes walk from the jamaa el fna square, a perfect spot to explore this great city. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the range of activities and treatments on offer were endless. We are already looking forward to returning to the city and our friends at Al Rimal

I stayed at The Riad Al Rimal with my wife and two young children for 3 nights in April.
There is little I can add to all the other glowing reviews. The service, location and food are all first rate. We booked the transfer from the airport through the Riad as we were arriving late at night. Our flight was delayed by over an hour, however kindly the driver had waited which made our arrival in Marrakech completely stress free.

We booked the Perle suite which was easily accommodated our family. The Riad is very well positioned right in the centre of the Medina. Bothe the owners and all the staff were extremenly accommodating and particually made our boys (aged 8 &11) very welcome. Staying in a Riad is not always advised with children, we had no problem as our two are relatively calm and well behaved.

Breakfast was fantastic, certainly on a par with the many 5 star hotels we have stayind in around the world. We did not take an evening meal at the Riad as we were out exploring the city each evening, although Im sure it would have lived up to our expectations too.

The owner also arranged excursions for us which were good value and allowed us to venture out of the city a little further.

We couldnt reccommend the Riad Al Riaml highly enough and would certainly love to stay there again in the future.

Had a really good stay in Riad al Rimal. The owners, manager and staff were very welcoming and gave us some good tips and advice. The owners were regularly asking how are stay was and if they could do anything to help or offer advice. The riad itself was very well decorated and the rooms in particular were really nice - we stayed in the Amethyst room. Unfortunately, as with everyone in the Medina, the call for prayer was very loud - in particular the one at 5am every morning but this wasn't a fault of the Riad. The roof terrace was great and we had dinner there one night which was really nice. Breakfast was also served there when the weather was nice. There was a jacuzzi on the terrace but unfortunately it wasn't the cleanest. The pool was more of a dipping pool than an actual swimming pool. Great location though with only a couple mins walk to the main square, souks and centre of Medina. Free wi-fi too was a plus. Rooms and Riad were spotlessly clean. Overall, would definitely go back to Riad Al Rimal.

This was a great place overall, and the staff and decor made it. The dinner at the hotel was excellent - lamb and prune and fig tagine quite superb - and so reasonably priced. Fresh orange juice at each breakfast delicious. We had two rooms - mine was the larger emerald one with a seating area, very comfy although bed a little hard for my liking but I slept well as I had the help of earplugs to keep out the early morning sounds of the muezzin and cockerel. The smaller room was a floor up and on quite a busy passage so my companion didn't sleep as well as I did. The atmosphere in the riad was calm and homely. Marie was seemingly always on duty and always there to ask how we were, offer advice. Decor Moroccan and stylish. Lovely fresh flowers in the rooms and petals in the fountain. We used the small gym and the hamman, the bar as well as the wonderful terrace area. And literally a couple of minutes from the main square - you couldn't find a more peaceful retreat.
