As always Michele and Grant go out of their way to make our stay comfortable, the beautiful environment they have created within the Riad is second to none, with every need catered for. Their staff are warm, friendly and always ready to help.

The Riad is within a few minutes walk of the main square and many local attractions, needless to say the souk is very enticing, Michele helps with directions, a map and personal advice on shopping and where to eat, also suggesting day excursions and arranging everything for you.

Our trip was truly amazing!

Room Tip: For a romantic trip the 'Kiad' room is a must!

This hotel is the most perfect place to stay in Marrakech; this is the second time staying at this fantastic hotel. the owner are fantastic and takes care of you like you were an infant. they fix resturant reservations arrange taxi. They will help you with shopping and guide you to the best places. The hotel is fantastically designed and each room has its unique design. You will enjoy every minute of this fantastic hotel and the owner will pamper you. They serve a fantastic breakfast and after dinner you can enjoy a glass of cold rose on the stunning roof terrace. Can not think of a better place to enjoy the fantastic Marrakech. already long to return and hope soon to be able to. Many thanks to the fantastic Grant and

Riad Assakina is a stunning place to stay. My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to find the location right next to a royal palace, and in the old Jewish quarter. You can sit on the large roof terraces of the Riad and not be disturbed by constant traffic below because of the wonderful location. The Riad even has a beautiful pool on the ground floor. Added extras apart from very comfortable rooms and enormous showers include a fantastic breakfast, very helpful staff, and owners Grant and Michelle who are on hand to give the guests tips on what to visit and which restaurants are worth eating in. They even booked a wonderful spa for us on Saturday morning which was a memorable experience. We could not have hoped for a more relaxing and magical place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in Marrakesh, thanks so much for having us we will be back!

Room Tip: The two large suites on the first floor are particularly large and comfortable.

This was my third visit to Marrakech and so I know that after driving from the airport through the hustle and bustle to a tiny narrow street a wooden door will await with a beautiful Riad behind. Riad Assakina did not disappoint as it is simply lovely, with elegant and tasteful decoration. I was travelling with my husband and two other couples and they all thought the Riad was beautiful. We also all had our rooms upgraded which was a fabulous surprise. I won't go on to describe every room etc as it has already been done on many posts...Just to say the very cold plunge pool on the ground floor was stunning and much needed as it was so hot upstairs on the terrace.

The owners Grant and Michelle were delayed by the french air traffic strike and so we were met by Noelle who works with a team of ladies from 8-5 to run the Riad like clockwork. She was very calm and helpful and all the staff including those cleaning the rooms were extremely polite. In the evening Hisham and one other man ( who was lovely but I have forgotten his name) looked after the Riad. Hisham was both patient and kind with a good sense of humour. He was very, very helpful on our first evening (too long to go into here) and also advised on trips and restaurants as well as bringing us lovely wine and olives on the terrace where we watched the storks and chilled.

Hisham and Noelle recommended the Belgi Country Club a pool and restaurant just outside of the town which we enjoyed and was a welcome break from the Souks. We ate at Le Fondouk on the terrace which I would recommend and Bo-zin which is more for the atmosphere and dancing than the food but is stylish and fun. We also ate at Tanjire which is near the Riad. It is beautifully decorated and the food is good but it was very quiet and the service could have had more of a smile! We had a lunch in the Riad which was excellent and I wish we had eaten more meals there but it is hard to squeeze everything in to a three night break.

We met Grant and Michelle late on our second day and they were also very friendly and helpful. Michelle booked us in for a Hammam at the Les Baines de Marrakech which was very relaxing.

I would definitely recommend Riad Assakina and hope to return one day soon
.

Room Tip: All the rooms are very nice and even the cheaper ground floor interconnecting rooms looked lovely. There wasn't much noise until around 8.30 when breakfast could be taken in the court yard so no room is much quieter than another. All the rooms face in to the courtyard and all rooms have shutters so you can keep out the light and noise.

The Riad Assakina is an oasis of calm amongst the noise and chaos of the Medina.
Grant, Michele and the staff were wonderful and attentive.
With plenty of areas to relax and unwind it was a a wonderful experience.
The team make your stay very easy and comfortable. With a great feeling of staying in a friends home. Normally we would stay in large hotels but this experience has changed our mind.
My wife is coeliac so we were concerned about problems when eating out.
We need not have worried as Grant booked tables at the restaurants we had chosen and notified them of the gluten free requirements.
Thank you to Grant and Michele for making our 4 night stay just perfect.
