“Not bad - decent value”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

Looking at the reviews here there seem to be reviews for two totally different places. Where I went was the simple restaurant directly opposite the gates of Place de Bahia that has a roof terrace. Others seems to be showing a much grander looking place which this one was not. I definitely went to the one that is shown as cafe with terrace. I had a Lamb Tagine which came with cous cous and a sauce. This was very tasty and good value. Juices were nice. It was a bit too cold to go on the roof terrace so we went inside which is very basic and uninspiring. Service was friendly and King Crimson playing on the stereo so clearly owned by an old hippy.
Location good, food good , value good. Overall it is fine to stop for a bite but nothing special.

“tourist restaurant”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

you won't miss this restaurant if you walk pass by it because there are "people" outside inviting you to dine in. it is obviously a tourist restaurant place. the interior was nice although we were brought up to dine on the top floor. food was ok ( your morrocaan dishes, but i can say i've tried better)

this place is near the jewish souks where the price is way way cheaper compared to the souks near the mosque & the people are nice (NOT aggressive like the souks closer to the mosque)

“OKay for a quick moderately priced lunch near the Bahia palace”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

up a flight of steps has advantage of bathroom facilities in the central tourist area would advise the Marakishi above the Jemaa Fna square for quality food with a view; and after 9pm with dancer and music. Try the Lamb with Prunes there - not at the Bahia; keep to its simpler selection of Tiganes

“Not over-impressed”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

The restaurant is in a great location, overlooking the Bahia Palace, and with a terrace affording views of the palace and the city. Staff are pleasant (although a bit slow), and the prices are OK, but the interior is not very atmospheric. Although the restaurant had air-conditioning, windows were left open, allowing quite a bit of heat and noise to come in, as well as some annoying flies. The vegetable panini we ordered was very bland and tasteless. No alcoholic beverages (although this is not uncommon in Morocco), and soft drinks were served in the can. It’s not somewhere we’d return to — there are lots of better places in Marrakesh.

“Nice food, but small menu”
Reviewed July 23, 2012

Nice place to eat in a break of exploring medina, which can be very exhausting. Don't expect anything luxurious. Portions are not huge, but not even small. The only problem was that many stuff written in the menu weren't available to order. Weithers were nice and service quite fast.
