Not in San Francisco, but in Marrakech, at the Restaurant La Maison Arabe. It is simply the most beautiful restaurant I have ever had a meal in. The tables were situated in a cloister type section flanking a swimming pool. Our seats were outdoors (with heating) facing a wall of glass behind which there was the Moroccan section of the restaurant. We ate in the international section. We (my wife, me, and two friends) shared a Lebanese Mezze. We then had the best lamb tagine we had in Morocco. With two bottles of good Moroccan wine, our bill was less than $100/couple. Laughable by U.S. standards. Wish I could go again right now.
