Description: Ideally located in the heart of Gueliz, this elegant restaurant gets back in touch with the authentic living ambiences of Marrakesh. The decor is in complete harmony with the Moroccan culture: it offers a pub, Moorish, and colonial spirit. The Grand Cafe de la Poste offers a French cuisine with Mediterranean accents.

As other reviewers have said this has a pleasant atmospheric vibe, quite buzzy yet relatively peaceful amongst the mayhem of Marrakech. The food is quite good - salads for 95 dirhams, bottle of rose for 195, coffee at 35. Service a bit hit-and-miss depending on which waitress you get..

If you are in the plazza area this is a good place for lunch. We only ate here once but a very nice meal at a reasonable price.

We called for a coffee which was fine, quite expensive but nice to sit in such a lovely environment, really beautiful building
The service is awful ... Really you just get ignored, it's not often we don't leave a tip but we really couldn't
It's in the French quarter so as we should have expected everyone speaks French and most of the customers are French which isn't a problem, it's just the stand-offish attitude
I'd advise a coffee/tea just to see the place

The restaurant is pleasant and very "French bistro" with a delicate Marrocan touch. The Oysters were fresh and nice but the fois gras was neither. Service was professional but not very attentive and getting the check required more than a little effort. Wine list is limited to some decent Morrocan and French and I had to chuckle at he Petrus 2001 for cheeky €2,900. Enjoy but don't build your hopes up too high.

Good (local expat) hangout albeit too expensive. Thank God Eric is back.
Think should cover it all, no need for 100 characters, thank you.
