My wife and I are over 2 months in to an 11 month trip we have been dreaming of for a lifetime. We have seem some amazing places, and had some great (and not so great) lodging experiences, but so far Riad Aicha stands out as our absolute favorite place we have stayed!
We initially intended just a two night stay, but the Riad became our home base. We started and ended our trip to Morocco here, and even stayed a night in the middle when our path took us back through Marrakech.
Loek has done an incredible job restoring this riad. It is colorful and comfortable. It has historic grace and modern comforts.
The riad is located in a quiet corner of the Medina, but only a 10 minute walk from the bustle of the center. Breakfast is always hearty, fresh, and delicious... and the setting of the beautiful riad makes it even more enjoyable.
We really grew fond of Loek, our host, during our visits to the Riad. He is a gentle and sincere man, and his 7 years in Marrakech (plus many prior adventures throughout Morocco) made him an excellent resource. He also has a really wonderful staff to support.
While I am sure that many memories from this trip will blur or fade, I know that we will never forget our stay at Riad Aicha. Thanks Loek!More
