“Would definitely recommend it to a friend”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2012

My boyfriend and I went here in June on a travelzoo deal and the hotel exceeded all of our expectations. We paid £250 each for 4nights, flights and all inclusive food and drink, activities and entertainment. For what we received we would definitely have paid more. The food choices were really good and you could book into the Italian restaurant or Morrocan restaurant if you wanted a set menu rather than a buffet. All alcoholic drinks were included (local drinks that is) and there was a nightclub that was open to 2 in the morning.

As other reviews have mentioned it is a predominantly French hotel but there was a dedicated member of staff that spoke English and all other members of staff were friendly. I would recommend brushing up on your french to ask for drinks etc but to be honest that was part of the fun - we had gone to another country so didn't expect to have an English experience.

In the evening the entertainment was in French and English so that all guests could take part. I would definitely recommend the Morroccan entertainment night (Wed night), it was awesome.

The hotel has a number of excursions that you can go on. We went on the 4x4 drive into the Atlas mountains and this included visiting a local village and going into a house and being treated to a traditional tea ceremony. I would recommend this. A number of guests also visited the waterfuls and foothills of the Atlas mountains and they were really pleased with these tours.

Before we went there we looked at the map and saw it was 30mins outside Marrakech and we were dissappointed, however, when we arrived we were actually really happy to be situated there. It meant we could chill by the pool when we wanted and chose when to go into Marrakech for the hub bub. nb the shuttle bus is a bit random - it is an old rachety bus that looks quite comical. It was free though and safe so we could not ask for much more.

There is also a Morrocan Hamman / spa place. I had the Morrocan treatment which I thought included a massage and it didn't, so I was a bit gutted but this is the only example of things getting lost in translation.

The room was lovely and the bathroom was like something out of Indiana Jones. The hotel building has a traditional style and we got some good pictures of us there.

All in all we loved it and if the deal came up again we would return just to chill by the pool and relax.

Thank you to the hotel for giving us such a wonderful holiday :) :) :)

Went here on a travelzoo deal - flying Wednesday pm from Luton coming back late Sunday evening (11.30pm) Ryanscair. Quick review: Flight was on time and the online check in was good - although you have to follow the booking rules otherwaise its extra cost (must pre print boarding card otherwise its another £40 odd each). managed to do that bit ok and airport was pretty hassle free. Arrived after 3 and half hour flight - met by tarvel rep - had a further 40 minute wait while other passengers changed up their money (apparently not available in the UK although I got mine at Luton before getting on board) annoying but not the end of the world. This made us late to the resort. They kept the dining room open for us and we were usshered straight in - once finished eating - the rooms were all ready - no queueing - just sat in reception while they sorted it for you - very good.
Rooms were good & clean (had a cockroach visit - but i guess you expect that in hot countries - cleaners removed it from under its inverted ashtray prison. The resort itself is nice, very clean, the service can only be described as inconsistent - one moment exceptional the next dissapointing as if they didn't care - overall though very good. Food was good - hot and plenty of choice. The Tangines were very nice although not that spicy and very samey - if you like vegitables and particularly vegitable stew its great (wife was well happy with food) - I was OK with it - stuck mainly to chicked (and they sure use every part of the chicken in their dishes)
We didn't bother with booking either the Italian of Morrocon restaurants as they were set menu's in both and none of them appealed to us.
The resort was probably half empty - we used the Zen Pool which is the quiet pool - there is also the large pool where they do activities and play music. Both pools were really excellent - spotless and a great temperature. Plenty of Sun Loungers, also round the pools were recessed, covered lonnge areas which were basically three canvass covered matresses and cushions to lounge about on - perfect but dificult to stay awake on.
So a great place for a restful break which is what we wanted - guaranteed sunshine (quite hot 33 degrees) but a really nice break. The place is full of French (probably only a dozen british couples).
there are lots of excursions at extra cost - 4X4's - Atlas mountain trips etc - we did none of these so can't comment.
Did go into Marakesch on the saturdsay afetrnoon free bus shuttle (runs several times per day from the hotel - quite an experience - you need good sense of direction and memory to get back to find the coach but its not that difficult - we didn't ask the man in the market (next to the snake charmer) where he got the twenty sets of used false teeth sets and the tray of used individual teeth from - enough to say the market and surrounding streets are an experience not to be missed

Overall a very nice short break - would I do a week? possibly, but not two weeks and the deal we had from Citrus holidays through Travelzoo made it exceptional value - would I pay full price - probably not

Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and would recommend highly. Hotel really lovely with clean rooms etc. V impressed with fresh bottle of water put in room fridge everyday, food excellent with wide variation. I think that the fact it is used mostly by French tourists keeps standard of food and desserts high! Branded soft drinks which is unusual in All-inclusive hotels. 2 great pools, lots of activities. The only thing i would say is as now taking British tourists as well perhaps they could consider that in food labelling, entertainment etc. This certainly did not spoil our holiday and quite enjoyed using the little french we had between us. The only fly in the ointment which did mar end of holiday was the £21.00 tax we were charged on checking out. Not mentioned on booking and they literally will not open gate if you do not pay! (had to find £63 for 3 rooms) Dont let that put you off however, this is a great hotel, best I have stayed in for a long time.

I came away with three of my friends for my 30th birthday and we stayed at this hotel for four nights and five days. We had an amazing time from beginning to end. We arrived and were whisked to the food hall where we offered a great selection of foods including traditional Moroccan cuisine, some Italian dishes and great salads that we could help ourselves to. As well as wine and bottled water that were brought to our table. This was always the case every time at every meal time.

We were really pleased with our rooms that were next to each other as we had requested and the rooms were very clean and pretty with air con and good sized bathrooms with bath and shower. We were told that there would be a rep to meet us in the morning to tell us about excursions and information about the hotel and the services that it offers. This rep always seemed available should we need to ask something during our stay.

There was more than enough activities at the hotel if we wanted such as aqua-aerobics, tennis, table tennis, nightclub etc. We were offered advise if we chose to do our own thing such as getting cabs to and from town even though there was a shuttle bus provided for free by the hotel. This is what we did and went to the markets and ate there one evening as well as going to some great bars.

There were a few pools but we decided to spend most of our time at the 'Zen' pool which is quieter, with less music and children about. It meant that we could top up our tans in the hot hot sun and cool off in the pool and make the most out of the all inclusive bars without being disturbed!

We used the money changing service, safety deposit box that we rented for a small charge and used the beach towels that you get your money back on. Our rooms were cleaned every day and towels in the bathroom were changed daily too.

All staff at the hotel were fantastic and provided an excellent quality service, I highly recommend this treasure to go unmissed!

I am already planning my return!

Room Tip: I liked the fact that our room was on the first floor so it was not over looked and we had privacy o...

We travelled here for a friends birthday, a group of girls looking to relax and enjoy Marrakesh. The hotel was superb when we arrived late at around 9pm the hotel had arranged for food to be left for us and as we had been travelling this was very much appreciated, the food was delicious and with lots of variety for everyone, with new dishes every day.

Our room was very clean and well presented and overlooked the beautiful gardens. There were two swimming pools, both lovely one with music and activities and another 'Zen' pool that was quieter both pools had bars and we took full advantage of the 'all inclusive' ordering a variety of drinks to refresh us throughout the day.

The hotel is situated away from the main city around 20 minutes away and this was great because it was quiet at night and easy to sleep (not that we got much sleep as we were too busy enjoying the night life!). The hotel has buses that go into town regularly which is handy and a taxi is only around 150 dirhams (just over £10) so affordable for a night out.

There are plenty of activities in the hotel, tennis, table tennis aerobics..... the list is endless but we were too lazy and hot to participate!!

The quality of this hotel is just excellent and we all had an amazing time so would definately recommend it.

I travelled here with my four best friends to celebrate our 30th birthday's. We had booked it as a budget trip so although we wanted luxury, we were prepared it may not live up to expectation! However we were plesantly surprised! The hotel ground are fabulous, the pools and a good temperature, clean and not that busy - plenty of loungers for all! There are plenty of activities if you want them..but no pushing if you don't! Bedrooms are clean and well decorated. Staff are friendly. Food is AMAZING...and I mean that, so much choice and all to a really high standard. Wine went down by the bottle!!!! Really, really chuffed with the whole package for what we paid...definately recommended!
