Do not go
Awful food with miserable entertainers during the evening, very expensive drinks and an outdoor spectacular and fireworks more suited to a local village fete.
Resort reps happy to take your money prior to going and most people describe it as terrible and then fly home with more punters arriving
It is a great money making scam for the owner
Avoid

We booked dinner, show and taxi as part of a package with out hotel for roughly about £40.00 which i thought was quite reasonable as out hotel was about 20 minutes from the venue. The restaurant is set out in what looks like a walled castle in the outskirts of Marrakesh. When you enter there are dancers, musicians and horse riders who welcome you. Before you get to the main restaurant there is a small museum dedicated to the history of Marrakech and the owner of the restaurant. We ate in tents and the food was very nice, lamb roasted on the bone, cous cous and chicken Tagine follow by fruit, mint tea and biscuits.
After dinner we watched the main show which consisted of belly dancing, acrobats on horses which were my favorite part, a "magic" carpet" (see it to believe it!) and guns men on horses. For me i enjoyed this but felt it was a little bit too commercial for my liking. Worth visiting but for me i wouldn't go back again.

Very dissapointed. The venue looked grand and imposing as we entered. The meal and entertainment were awful. A doorstop sized hunk of greasy meat was presented as the main course. There were no vegetables or carbs served with it. It was unappetising. The next part of the meal was an enormous pile of bland couscous topped with vegetables. After digging around, we found some pieces of chicken buried in it. It was dry and lacking in flavour. Dessert was a mountain of unprepared oranges with the odd apple and plum thrown in. Drinks were extra and were charged at 25% above hotel price and five times more expensive than supermarket prices. We had 20 dhiram notes and the waiter said he did not have change. We ended up paying 40 dhirams for water. We were tormented by 'entertainers' during dinner. They came in separate groups and beckoned us to dance with them. It was a ploy to earn tips. The after dinner show was equally bad. The stadium was unlit and the show comprised the different dancing groups walking around the stadium. The only good bit was horse riding acrobats but if you blinked you would have missed it. A waste of time and money. I would urge you not to go.

We should have listened to the nagging doubts!
When you arrive and see all the tourist buses your heart already sinks.
It is true that you will eat and see a lot for your money but it is truly content free, when instead you could have had a better time in the souks soaking up the warm and friendly culture and eating what you choose in one of the many restaurants.

We found this grand tourist attraction with a Disneyland feel a bit too much. The very large venue with grand marquees and brief and inexpert performances from tired performers left us cold. We did enjoy the food, and the spit roasted half lamb tasted really good. Unfortunately we left before the very late starting outdoor show as we had a very early start for the airport the next day. With all the other wonderful things to do in Marrakech we suggest you give this one a miss.
