Just returned from a 3 night girls trip to Marrakech, 4 of us staying in this Riad. Without a doubt, one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed! The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful with great tips for our stay (and good directions for getting around the maze that is the old town!). The food in the Riad was the best we had during our stay in Marrakech, the rooms were decorated in traditional Moroccan style with lovely bathrooms, and the pool area was beautiful. It was definitely an oasis in the heat and madness of Marrakech! In terms of location, it's about 20 mins walk to the main square which actually we thought was good as we felt like we were in a more authentic part of Morrocco, surrounded by locals who were all very friendly. Overall, can't fault this Riad and am already looking into coming back!

We stayed in three different hotels in Morroco and this was by far the most beautiful, as well as being the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. We were welcomed by Renaud, who has excellent English and provided us with maps and a log book of ideas for our time here including some excellent restaurant recommendations! He also had lunch prepared for our arrival even though we were a bit late.

This riad really is a home away from home, you feel so relaxed and at ease because of the amazing stuff. This is normally hard to come by even in a 5 star hotel. Each room is different and beautifully decorated, just like the pool area and roof top terrace.

Breakfast was varied slightly everyday but I'd expect toasted bread, fresh fruit, pancakes, jams, tea/coffee and orange juice. All very nicely prepared. I'd also recommend having lunch or dinner at the riad, it's freshly prepared everyday and is some of the best food we ate in morroco! Amazing value for the price.

I have seen people complain about the location but it's honestly not bad at all. It's in the Medina, about a 10 minute walk to the souks and a 15 minute walk to the square. While this may sound a lot Renaud will show you which way to go, how to get taxis and how to be wise to faux guides. As well as this the location meant the riad was quiet and tranquil as it was a little away from the main hussle and bussle, something you will really appreciate!

Hotel felt very safe as it's quite small and everyone knows everyone - we often left our door open when we went to the pool or to eat. Also the room is very clean, the maids cleaned and tidyed it every single day.

We really can't thank Renaud and Carole enough for making our holiday amazing, they have something really special with Riad Laila.

Room Tip: We had the Olivers room, which was beautiful. All the rooms looked incredible. I think there is one room that was a bit more basic than ours but only in the sense that it didn't have a sofa and little things, nothing to be too fussy about.

First time visitors to marrakesh could be daunted, but the owners had thought of everything with a log book full of advise. Carole was so helpful made you feel so special. A tranquil oasis in a bustling city. We had a wonderful meal too.

Renaud and Carole were the perfect and knowledgeable hosts of this traditional Moroccan house, now a Riad. Our room was small, yet perfectly adequate, and opened on to a small internal courtyard, keeping us away from any external noise. Continental Breakfast, with a Maroccan twist, was served on the roof terrace. Dinner was served in the comfortable lounge, since the Feburary evenings were chilly. The food was excellent.

This Riad is in a quiet area of the Medina; perfect for us as it was away from the noise and hustlers of the Souks. This meant that most local attractions were 15 to 30 minutes walk away (we always felt safe). However we quickly learn that the shops selling Maroccan pastries were cheap (about 10 for under 50p) and the pastries deliciously sticky.

We stayed for 7 nights so took advice from Renaud and Carole on attactions. They made arrangements for our trips for us - event when we paid the attraction directly. We had a wonderful time, would certainly recommend this Riad to our friends, and will hopefully return - Insha'Allah

Staying at Riad Laila was one of the highlights of our Morocco trip! The place is beautiful (especially the common area), and has a nice terrace / rooftop. The riad also gives you a wonderful traditional feel unlike any at a typical hotel.

The owners, Renaud and Carole, (as well as Renaud's father, Michel) were incredibly friendly, as were all of the staff. Renaud was especially helpful with trying to find us a desert tour, as well as explaining anything we needed at any time! He also let us change 2 days within our stay to accommodate a last-minute desert tour booking. Finally, he and his team normally serve dinner upon a morning request, but they created a special lamb dinner for us at a late request on a suddenly rainy night. Both Renaud and Carole worked just as hard as their team all day, ready to help guests with anything.

Moreover, the staff such as Brahim were unbelievably attentive. They went out of their way to smile and help with anything we needed! The breakfast was simple but tasty (crepes with jam and honey, with fresh OJ) and served with genuine smiles.

Overall, this was a terrific place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a very charming, hospitable, and traditional accommodation!
