“A carpet salesman sent us . . .”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

A carpet salesman sent us & it wasn't too bad. The setting is gorgeous buried in the middle of the riad. A set price lunch for 250dh or a la carte for 150dh or so. The usual tagines, brochettes but they also have pastilla.

“Looking for Mr Benn”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This restaurant was recommended in my guide book, we had to ask for directions as it's right in the middle of the souk. Walking through the back of a carpet shop and down corridors it reminded me of Mr Benn; being transported to another world. The court yard was beautiful and tranquil and immediately I thought : this is going to be expensive ! We thought about turning round and leaving as we were on a shoestring budget but ended up staying. We shared the mixed vegetarian salad which was enough for two with the bread, was fairly tasty and cost 90 dirams. Not a bad experience but not worth the money in my opinion.

“Tourist trap”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 29, 2012 via mobile

The food was poor for the price we paid!!!

We ordered a few tagines and skewers. Having been to a few decent local places before this, we expected the tagine to have some sauces to dip ur bread into. Instead the tagine came out dry and it tasted as though it was reheated in a big pot and just scooped into the tagine for serving. Pastilla was a rip off at 165 dirham each given the size.

“Average food nice area”

Bought a teapot from a shop and ask the shopkeeper for food recommendation and they bring me here. Nice quiet place... Food is average, not sure if worth that price. Tourist place for sure.

“Average food but terribly overpiced”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2012 via mobile

I had lunch with my girlfriend, and for two mains and two drinks we paid 420 dirham, absolutly out of the box. The food is not terrible, and the place is beautiful, very authentic, but there are much better places for far less money.
