The Angsana chain is international and they have a clear aesthetic/theme strategy with their cluster of Riad (traditional house) hotels here.
Remarkably for a cynic like me they pull it off with aplomb, there may be swankier (less traditional) or cheaper (tired and/or grubby) alternatives but the hotel (and we visited others) are calm, clean and relaxing spaces.
The staff are informed and reliable, in fact nothing was too much bother. You may leak money here through western level charges and accoutrements but that is the method in Marrakesh.
TIP: Ask for a room away from the street, walls between rooms are not thick. Think medium-high level B&B + a bit of zen
