The staff are what make this place shine. There is no task too big and everything is always done with a smile on their face. There is a self-awareness here that people are coming with an expectation, and we have to live up to our reputation.

My highlights:
Coffee/tea in a thermos at the door in the morning.
A wonderful breakfast spread, with loads of variety.
Staff who will organize whatever you ask for.
A lovely dinner service (the gastro meal).
Wonderful rooms, with super comfortable beds, great mood lighting and fabulous fabrics.
Friendly banter with the staff who are genuinely interested.

Some tips:
Do your currency conversion with them as the rates they offer are better than the ATM.

Minor complaints:
The restaurant food was a tad too westernized and lacked a lot of Moroccan flavour. But, that is the style they're going for.
Service on the rooftop patio for food can be a bit slow.

I cannot think of one bad thing about the Maison MK. Everything from the team to food and attention to details just transform your break into a wonderful experience.
I was planning a long weekend for a group of 12 people and the team was fabulous and so patient helping me put everything together.
Their input and suggestions made such a different and all worthwhile.
The place is like a little oasis in the middle of chaos and its so pretty.
You get the picture.
You cannot miss the East meets West experience at the Spa. Awesome!
Well done Mainson MK for a wonderful concept and effort on everything you do.

Excellent & superb place!
King Hassan II stated once that Morocco is like a tree whose roots lie in Africa but whose leaves breathe European air; Marrakech has given me this impression. This is a city with its Medina (labyrinth of streets) and its western influences around the red walled area.
This double sided nature of the city has made the stay magical. Added to this and more important "Maison MK" make this place even more special. The high quality of its cuisine (thank Chef Omar), the friendliness of if its staff and constant attention to detail.
It has made my stay truly special! Thanks.

Stayed at Maison MK this last weekend, as a work reward we booked all six rooms for us and our partners. It is hard to know where to start! Having been ever so slightly involved in the booking process the owners and hotel manager worked with us to accomodate different arrival dates, excursions, events pickups and drop off's everything was done to perfection. Having stayed at some increadible properties in the past including the Burg Al Arab and Ritz Carlton in Naples and Maui Maison MK exceeded even these on the friendliness and willing to help. You didn't feel like there was a single member of staff who would be "jobs worth" in any way.

The hotel provided power adaptors, in room music, mobile phones for inter room communication and for help when out and about and lost in the souks ( this is inevitable enjoy being lost!!! ). The food was served anytime requested, clean and the quality was excellent.

Not only did we manage to get out into the hustle and bustle but relax on the roof terrace with a coffee or milkshake and let the noise and mayhem of the markets become a distant but fond memory.

The gastro meal was magnificent and even when we asked for more deserts (we had 4!!!) they obliged without question.

The hotel willingly converted currency and they served and included afternoon tea and cake.

It would be hard to fault this hotel "being the picky OCD person that i tend to be this is particularly tough! If I had to find something id say the pool was too small and strangely located to be useable, but it makes for a great decorative feature in the hotel atrium.

My wife and I are trying to find an excuse to visit again!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great but 1 and 5 were especially good.

We timed this perfectly - escaping the rain in the UK and going to a destination with a good chance of warmer weather at the beginning of February. Due to restrictions on carrying liquids in hand luggage failed to take sun cream and got a little burnt - the sun can be deceptively intense out there! But how lovely to be dry and feel that heat. We were met at the airport and had a quick ride to the centre where we were met again from the taxi by Maison mk staff, and a very warm welcome on arriving in the riad - all very organised. The riad really is an oasis of calm just around the corner from the bustle of the souks and the Jemaa el Fna. The location could not be better, near enough to be able to wander our from the riad to the market and also close enough to where you can get a taxi to venture further afield. Inside Maison mk and up on the terrace it is so peaceful, even though in the evening you can see the smoke from all the cooking in the medina it is extraordinarily quiet. Maison mk is beautifully designed and decorated in a calming contemporary Moroccan style using soft earthy colours throughout with a lot of thought having gone into what guests might want during their stay. A wonderfully comfortable bed with the best quality bedding, a huge bath, power shower and thick bath robes - you will not be disappointed with the luxury. We stayed in room 2 which was more spacious than I had imagined with lovely personal touches that you wouldn't find in a larger establishment. The staff were full of character, cheerful and attentive, but not at all intrusive and made you feel totally at home. The food was delicious, carefully and freshly prepared and great Moroccan wines. I loved the fact that the breakfast alternates - but not just French and Moroccan, with yoghurt and delicious fruits, cheese and honey. Make the most of the spa at the riad, but you must book before you go. If you have never had a Hammam treatment it is a must. We had the Afternoon Treat which is where one of you has a massage for 45 mins whilst your partner has the traditional Hammam and then you swap, followed by full English afternoon tea which we had up on the terrace in the warm sunshine - absolute bliss. You will feel totally relaxed and at ease at Maison mk. We will definitely visit again and next time take a larger case to purchase some of the lovely things that Maison mk has to offer and also to buy some of the wonderful things found in the souks.

this place suited us down to the ground, cool, chic, relaxed style, good wine list, good food, good massage, small enough to feel personal service at its best.
1 helpful hint - just be sure to book things early if you want to be sure of getting your massage at the popular times as the spa is small (but very professional and a good strong massage).

Stayed here during the film festival, paid a massive premium and expected five star hospitality for give star pricing.

Riad was well managed, warm staff. Rooms were traditional in their decor. Breakfast was basic and alternated between French (croissants) and Moroccan (breads) with eggs.

A lot of heart and passion in building this hotel, but this is not 5 star, especially considering the price paid.
