The hotel offers a very nice atmosphere, is well located, and offers excellent service and food. I felt like at home. Very quiet. I just liked it very much.

The architecture is beautiful, the old riad has been restored in a very original and artistic style. The pool offers freshness and taking breakfast next to it is a perfect way to start the day. Ahmed is very charming and helpful and responses to very wish. 1001 nights feeling at its best

This must be one of the most beautiful Riads in Fez and certainly one of the best places I've stayed at in all my many travels, both business and pleasure. Our stay here eclipsed all expectations, from the extremely warm and friendly staff to the stunning rooms, courtyard, pool and roof top, to the great breakfast provdided every morning. Francoise and team, thanks for blowing us away and making our time in Fez unforgettable.

What a wonderful place is Riad La Cle de Fes. This was our first time in Morocco, myself and my 2 teenagers. Driving from the airport to our Riad was a real shock, especially coming from New Zealand. The place looked awful, I was really worried about what to expect when we got to our Riad. When the driver pulled up for us to get out I wanted to tell him to keep driving. But what a pleasant surprise we got when we entered our Riad. (Don't be shocked by the look of the outside) Inside the place is beautiful. The staff are awesome. We were late checking in and they had waited up for us with dinner ready and drinks. The Riad is minutes walk to the old madina, a must visit and the main attraction in Fes. I suggest you hire a guide to show you around the old madina it is a labyrinth. We made good use of the outside swimming pool. Manager Amal, and staff, Halima, Mohamed, Zineb, Fatima, were fantastic. Halima, the chef, cooked lovely Moroccan dishes for us everynight, and i was able to join her in the kitchen and learn some Moroccan recipes. Their hospitality was outstanding. They treated us like family, we were really sad to leave them.

The hotel has loads of character and is in a central location to the medina. There is a swimming pool near the courtyard and a rooftop terrace It was a perfect match with our expectations of Fes and the Moroccan culture. The bedroom (top floor) was spacious with air conditioning, and the bathroom was clean and attractive. The hotel staff (Amal, Mohammed and Halima) were all very friendly and helpful. We arrived by train around 21:00 and had an excellent meal (booked in advance) served to us by the pool. Aziz, our tour guide (organized by the manager Amal), was excellent, with a relaxed, well-informed style. I took a thoroughly enjoyable cooking class there with Halima (hopefully the correct spelling) and Amal. We cooked our entire dinner for that evening. In all we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

This riad is perfect for your first time in Fes: 5 min by walk to the Bab Boujloud in the old city, the hotel is easily accessible by car. This is really important when you know that the Medina has more that 900 streets and that most of them are only accessible to walkers or donkeys!
The hospitality of Amal, Mohammed and the staff was absolutely lovely and impeccable...
The breakfast and dinner are fresh with good standard. You have the opportunity to get a free meal course with the cooker to discover the Moroccan cuisine.
The 2 terrace views are just wonderfull, I will recommend you to spend some nights there with green teas and an apple shisha made by Mohammed!
In the air conditioning rooms, you will be not disturbed by anyone: originially coming from an arabic country, I have never found any kistch or not typical decorations. The bed and bathroom are clean and comfortable.

We have not been disappointed!

We stayed here for five nights as a family of three. We had a very large room with a bedroom on a balcony and a living room turned into a bedroom for our son on the main floor. There was plenty of space and decent air conditioning (a must in July in Fes) as well as a lovely bathroom. But the truly amazing thing was the Riad itself. It's close to 1000 years old as a building and lovingly restored. The plaster work, the carved wood, the zellij tile are all exquisite. The center courtyard (which is what makes a Riad a Riad) is a gorgeous living space for all the guests as is the living space near the lovely (and refreshingly cool) small pool. Every morning we were treated to an enormous breakfast of fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt, dates, bread (toast and also a Moroccan bread our favorite being the spongy one), or cake (the orange almond was great!) tea, coffee, and fresh orange juice. It was served by the delightful and charming Muhammad who also showed my son how to wear a head scarf and took many photos of us. Ammal who is the manager was a huge help as well. She arranged tours, guides and transport for us. She helped us to anything we needed. We chose to eat in the Riad several nights as the food was excellent: soup (always different, but the best was the pistachio zucchini), several salads, a tagine and dessert. We felt so at home here in our own oasis and were just steps to the Blue Gate of the Medina. At sunset we enjoyed the roof top terrace and watching he lights wink on over the Medina as we listened to the call to prayer. You can stay here and feel like it is your home as the staff will make you feel it certainly is.
