“Very nice stay and wonderful staff”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

Spent two nights at Hotel Splendid after spending one awful evening at Royal Hotel. There is hot water available all day, and internet service is available in the lobby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again. It is a short walk to some very good restaurants, including Restaurant Marrakesh (about a 10 minute walk). The hotel is also near Avenue Hassan II which is a very nice tree-lined street with many cafes. It is a great people watching location. I very much enjoyed staying in Ville Nouvelle as there were fewer tourists and it is more quiet. Overall, a very nice experience at Hotel Splendid.

This is a good hotel, nice rooms, if a bit small, a pool, and a bar!!!! The restaurant looks ok, though it's the usual fare so you might want to go elsewhere. A much better choice out of the Medina- anything there is overpriced and dire and you can get around easily using a petit taxi too.

This hotel is a little out of the way from the medina but cheap taxis in Fes mean that's not really a problem. Rooms are nice and so is the bar and swimming pool. Overall a very good mid range choice.

This option is not too bad if you are staying in the Ville Nouvelle of Fes, but if you are on a holiday trip I would recommend to stay in the medina.
Our room was OK. Clean, but also a bit run down. The bathroom (in a closet) was tiny and it took ages for the shower to warm up.

We arrived in Fes from Rabat with low hotel expectations (our experience in Rabat was overpriced and poor quality hotels in the city center) . We were pleasantly surprised by this pretty little hotel. The lobby and pool are lovely, the restaurant very good and the central location is excellent. You can walk to the train station a few blocks away. The rooms are good quality for a three star hotel in Moroc. We definately recommend this one for groups, families, couples etc.k

As a backpacker this is the only place that has provided me a swimming pool!

I had a room with a small balcony overlooking the street. I did not have any problems of smoke/noise as mentioned in the blog. Rooms & toilets were clean.

Staff were not interactive.

Note that breakfast is not included as part of the tariff...contrary to most other tourist places in Morocco.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony

I thought the staff was super friendly and helpful. Customer service in Morocco isn't really a known concept the majority of the time, but we were given a great breakfast and the staff always greeted us at the door and were very helpful.

A member of our group complained that his TV didn't work, but who goes to Fez to watch TV? We never even got around to using ours. The location was great, only a few blocks away from Hassan II and near plenty of bars and restaurants, although there isn't really much of nightlife.
