this riad is true, which means that it's a beautiful home, with fine furniture selected with taste. the architecture is original and not a replica and thanks god it's not blended with other styles or new age or similar...
since this is a true place and not a trap for stupid tourists everything is consistent , so look is elegant, service is attentive, and food is maybe the best we had in morocco.

We can highly recommend this Riad. Sakina, Abdul and all the other staff gave us a warm welcome and were all very attentive to our needs. The Riad itself is stunning...a peaceful haven away from the bustling streets. Well located and just a short walk from Bab Jeloud. Food was delicious and of an exceptionally high standard. Guided tour organised by Sakina and well recommended.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this Riad for two nights and our only regret is that we could not stay longer. From the moment we walked in we were completely taken by the tranquil ambiente and beautiful decor of this riad. The service of the staff as well as the owner's son (the owner wasn't there) was excellent and we couldn't have been looked after better. Our room (Amber Suite) was tastefully decorated and very quiet, and it had the most amazing high ceiling! Breakfast was varied on both days, which was welcome after the last riad we'd stayed in gave us the same food every day. We also had dinner in Riad Zamane on one of the nights, and enjoyed the great food, atmosphere and service. We would definitely return to this Riad if we were to visit Fez again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay.

Staying at the Riad Zamane was one the most wonderful experiences in Morocco with our hostess, Sakina, providing excellent, detailed and friendly service. Every morning we were asked what our food preferences were for the evening meal and subsequently were provided with an enjoyable meal in the beautiful courtyard. The rooms were beautiful and extremely comfortable and we were made to feel as if we were staying in a large home with such friendly staff. The hotel is an easy walk to the Medina, Souks and the majority of sights.

Riad Zamane is a jewel! This gorgeous riad has been exquisitely restored, blending fine Moroccan craftsmanship with western comforts, the rooms reflect the warmth and elegance of the riad's charming owner, the food is delicious and the staff very lovely and helpful. I felt like the favourite houseguest at one of Fez's best families. Highly recommend it!
My only suggestion: ask the Riad for detailed instructions on how to get there or to arrange transport for you. I had printed the map off the Riad's website, but that didn't seem to make much sense to my taxi driver, so I finally got out and relied on "the kindness of strangers", but it certainly wasn't the most direct route.

I cannot say enough about Riad Zamane. We had the most fabulous experience there! The place was gorgeous – a haven to enter after a long day of exploring the souqs. The service was exceptional – Sakina was lovely and always helpful with advice and suggestions. Abdul made our visit truly memorable, always running up and down the stairs to bring us anything we requested, and to make us extremely comfortable. The meals that we had at the riad were the best we experienced in Fes. I only wish we could enjoy a bowl of harira right now. I would highly recommend this riad to future visitors of Fes, and I hope to get back there myself one day.

We extended our stay in Fez by one night and our other riad could not accomodate us. They set us up with Zamane and the differences were striking (especially for only a $14USD price difference)! Our room was bland (it looked a bit like a college dorm room with ratty wall hangings and a weird carpet seating area) and we had no hot water for the shower which required me to go downstairs twice to convince them that we did not. There were no blankets in the rooms, just a sheet on a very hard bed. We were very happy to leave, and had we booked more than one night we would have changed riads. There are too many other fantastic & beautiful places to stay, I suggest you keep looking.
