This company provided a great experience.

Yes, the trip out to the desert was long. There is no way around that. But our driver made it enjoyable by sharing stories about the area, and engaging us in general conversation. He also stopped several times along the way so we could shoot photos. We stopped at a small local restaurant for lunch...and the food was tasty and well cooked. The driver did offer us opportunities to shop a bit at some small market stands along the way...but because we weren’t big shoppers...we didn’t take advantage of this...and he didn’t try to coax us into any purchases.

When we arrived at the camp, everything was perfect. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and clean. The food was hot and good. The camp personnel were friendly and attentive and always up to share a smile or a laugh.

Everything was taken care of for us so all we had to do was enjoy the trip...which we did.

The tour was good, and we had a very nice experience in desert. The camp was beautiful, with friendly staff and sleep one night in the desert in the haimas under thousands stars is an amazing experience. The food was delicious.

We took this trip last month (my girlfriend and I). We were lucky because we booked a group tour but finally we were the only two people in the tour. So, we got a private tour!

This is what I think about the tour and this company:

Good:

-A good way to travel from Fes to Marrakech visiting different places and seeing a little bit more about Morocco.
-The Sahara is amazing and a MUST in Morocco. You stay one night in the Sahara and enjoy the sunset and sunrise.

Bad:
-Too much driving. You get a little bit tired of that (about 5-8 hours per day). If you have time, try to take one or two extra days to make the trip.
-The experience in the desert should have more explanation about the Berber culture. The guys are extremely nice, but they just hang out with you and want to party.

The worst:
-Some cultural visits ended up being a setup to sell you something. Some of them seem fake. Particularly, in the “fossils museum”. Our experiences in this “museum”, the carpet shop and the argan oil shop were exactly as the scams described in some websites. Luckily, we did not but in those shops.
-My girlfriend mentioned to our driver that she liked some of the Berber scarfs. The driver said he will help us to find one and get a good price. But he totally bargained against us and lie to us. We were very disappointed since we spend almost three days with him and wanted to trust on him.

The staff were great and this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but this isn't luxe, by any means. Beware: 1) The food prep areas in both the restaurants we stopped in while traveling to the desert and back, and the one at the camp, had many flies. Even though we stuck to bottled water, all 3 in our group ended up with GI bugs for 48+ hours after, so only eat thoroughly cooked or pre-packed food. 2) Bring your own pillowcase and full PJs, at a minimum (or sheets) as the bedding isn't washed daily. As long as you're willing to rough it, the experience was well worth it and the photos are terrific.

Overall an amazing experience. The long drive is made enjoyable by spectacular views throughout and several stops along the way (including monkeys!) Our driver, Mohamed, was very experienced with the sometimes scary Moroccan roads, and had lots of interesting information to tell about Morocco/places of interest. He also took care to check in and make sure everyone was ok on the drive, and stopped plenty of times along the way for food/toilet breaks. The desert experience itself is incredible, so surreal, amazingly well organised, a real gem. The Berber tents were very comfy and private, and dinner cooked by our guide and eaten under the stars was delicious. Thank you!!
