You feel like you have stepped back in time and unless you had a ball of wool unravelling behind you would not find your way out. Incredible sights and smells with people shopping as it has always been with the different souks in their own zones. The most incredible experience and the best medina of all that I saw in 3 weeks in Morocco. Had a private guide to give us a very personal experience.

Thank Jenny M

Exploring this medina is a great experience. You don't have the opportunity to get lost in a city very often. At every turn you'll discover a new alleyway, a new little store, a communal oven... Beware of false guides. If you don't want to miss the highlights hire a guide. I heard of a good one called Idris (+212 6 61 35 19 11) who speaks Spanish.

the opportunity to go back in time to an ancient shopping experience but you certainly need a guide to find your way through the winding narrow alleys, and look out for donkeys!

Walking around the medina in Fes is a highlight in itself. It is amazing to see all the shops, the people, the donkeys and the little streets. A lot different than Melbourne Australia.

the little alleyways are impressive, the old town is the oldest in the world as they told us. The panoramic view is beautiful too.
