WOW!!!! What a fantastic place to while away 4 days in the beautiful Medina city of Fes. On arrival at the airport we were taken to the outskirts of the medina by the transport arranged by the hospitable owners of Dar Finn. We were then escorted through the mesmerising narrow streets of the Fes to the entrance of the Riad, where the first WOW moment was had as we stepped into the beautifully ornate Entrance Hall. The hall streches over four floors from the lovely tiled ground floor to the azure sky above - wonderful. We were met on arrival by the owners Paul & Becky who then showed us to our next WOW moment - the relaxing courtyard with the unexpected plunge pool - a most welcome treat at the end of a hot day exploring the many sights and sounds of Fes. We were then taken up to our room, or should I say suite, which was another one of those WOW moments as it was large, spacious and overlooked the afore mentioned courtyard. By this stage my wife and I thought we had been WOWED out as three in five minutes is goood for any hotel but no - head up to the roof and stand on the beautifully, relaxed terrace, look out over the city to the mountains beyond and let out your last WOWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy. Reviewed by Richard.

Room Tip: All are unique and beautiful in their own way but the suite overlooking the courtyard was wonderful.

Some places do it, some places don't. Terrific b&b, really warm welcome from owners and staff. Our room was spacious, bright and decently furnished, rather classy for not much money . Breakfast was yummy, lots of goodness without being tiresome. Really appreciate the space and light this place offers, especially the walled garden through to salon, which is really chilled and private, and the terrace takes some beating. The experience enhanced our trip to Morocco and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We had a balcony overlooking the garden, priceless in the Medina.

This beautiful new riad in the heart of the medina is run by wonderful English hosts, Beccie and Paul, who know exactly what to do to ensure your first experience of Fez is truly memorable. Medina tours, picnics up the mountain to watch the sun go down, hammam advice and directions to all the best eating places are just a few of the services Beccie and Paul offer. The hotel is a fascinating mix of traditional and modern where everyone feels their room is special. What really worked for us as a family were the communal dining areas, private balconies and terraces that allowed everyone to come together and also find quiet spaces to chill out. The plunge pool was the icing on the cake after a long walk through the medina. Will recommend this hotel to everyone!

We went on a special birthday trip as a large family, we rented out the riad and it worked out perfectly. Everyone thought they had the best room of the house, each room unique in its own special way. Lots of quiet spaces a lovely large balcony with amazing views of the whole of the Fez medina, Lovely plunge pool for when you're hot and tired and want a refreshing break. Lovely communal dining room with freshly prepared breakfasts, wonderful authentic morrocan meals on request.
The host and hostess (Paul and Beccie) could not have been more helpful, providing trips for the mountains, medina tours, advises you were to shop and and eat. Also sort out a fantastic trip with a lovely guide round the medina.
We reccomend this Riad to anyone going to Fez for a first time.

the only way a place as stunning as this hotel is could been improved on beyond it's obvious beauty is by having the perfect hosts. and the dar finn does. as a last minute recommendation through a friend we had no idea what to expect and were blown away by the exquisitely refurbished interiors. the age and character were perfectly preserved inside so as to lose nothing of its history. paul and becky were fantastically relaxed, and in fact the perfect hosts. we were given plenty of advice, and an indefatigable supply of medina proof directions. we included a trip arranged though dar finn into the nearby mountains to catch sun set and camp out for the night. again the perfect experience with nothing of the byr grylls about it. just a fantastically relaxed late afternoon and evening so as to take nothing away from the spectacular beauty of the surounds. the dar finn is perfectly located for the inexperienced of fez. local food and markets are nearby and the route back is relatively straight forward with no intimidating dark passages to navigate. there is a roof top, and honesty bar, and the breakfast on the balcony was delicious. we even enjoyed a take away dinner with the hosts and left significantly more relaxed than when we arrived. there were staff on hand to help with local walking tours that were reasonably priced and throughout we experienced a safe comfort that no one was trying to rip us off despite our local naivety. can't recommend fez or the dar finn and it's hosts enough. definitely my first port of call next time in morocco

This newly opened and beautifully renovated Riad in the heart of the Medina is a gem of a B&B with the comforts of a luxury boutique hotel and a laid back and friendly atmosphere. It is very reasonably priced. The detail is exquisite and they have achieved a perfect balance of old and new, traditional and modern. The staff and owners are extremely helpful and will organise tours, cookery courses and camping trips for you too. The breakfasts were enormous and delicious with all sorts of Moroccan speciality breads and pastries, eggs, muesli, giant strawberries, yoghurt and honey (from the souk), freshly squeezed orange juice. The roof terraces are amazing with an almost 360 degree uninterrupted view of the medina and the hills and mountains beyond, as well as comfortable seating areas to relax and read a book. The garden and pool area is just being finished and opening shortly too which will be great when the summer comes. Fez is a wonderful city to explore but you need somewhere to escape to for a little peace and tranquility, Dar Finn is perfectly located for this as it is within easy walking distance of all the main tourist sites. There is an honesty bar too which means you can relax with a beer or glass of wine in your own time. Can't recommend it enough. I'll definitely be going back.

This newly renovated and just opened riad provides an oasis of calm from the busy mix of the medina. The hosts (Beccie and Paul) made us feel comfortable and right at home. They provided excellent tips on what to see and how to navigate the complicated streets of the medina. Excellent ambiance with a roof top terrace not to be missed. Being located high in valley we had breathtaking views of both the medina and surrounding mountains. A perfect place to read in the sun or relax with a drink at night. Breakfast was provided and we ate dinner at the riad one night. All meals were fantastic. The riad is nicely tucked away and it is easy to find great restaurants and shopping nearby.
