For my first trip to Fes I could not have asked for a more delightful oasis in which to withdraw from the bustle and intensity of the ancient Medina. Robert and his staff were wonderfully welcoming and attentive; with many smiles and a palpable joy for being of service. Having the restaurant as a kind of touchpoint for the personality of the Riad gave the beauty of the place a unique glow. I particularly loved the way that the smells from cooking added to the ambience. I stayed three nights in the Mezannine room, which though smaller than the other rooms is still very nicely arranged and more than comfortable. I'm quite sure you'll be delighted to stay here and look forward to my own return journey.

This place is stunning, but...there may be (slightly) more luxurious and more sumptuously furnished in Fes. And It isn't quite perfect: more light in the bathrooms please; and a Secret Garden fountain that is a work in progress. BUT what there won't be is a warmer welcome or a higher standard of service from Robert and his staff. The secret garden it adjoins is a delightful respite from the medina, relaxed and informal, good food at a good price, beer cold enough to please my Australian wife, and the afore-mentioned welcoming staff. The top bedroom is three steps from a roof terrace where you can eat sleep dream and/or hear the evening call to prayer as the sun sets. The two rooms on the first floor are lovely too, giving on to a balcony overlooking the garden. Want something, need advice? Nothing is too much trouble. Ten out of ten? Nah. Make it eleven.

Stayed with my son at Riad Idrissy for 5 nights. Making our reservation was very easy and I felt, right from the start, that this would be a special trip. I recommend Riad Idrissy to everyone. It's located in the Medina which is very helpful if you plan to spend quality time in the Medina experiencing all it's sights and sounds and smells. Our host, Robert, is amazing: knowledgeable, affable, attentive, welcoming, relaxed, and happy. He seems to know everything and just about everyone. The entire staff is there to meet your needs. The rooms are clean and charming- decorated with tiles, carved wooden panels, and Moroccan textiles. Breakfast is ample and freshly prepared. Riad Idrssy strives to make itself your home away from home and succeeds in everyway.

Room Tip: choose the second floor room in the back of the house away from the street.

Riad Idrissy is a very special and gentle place in a very chaotic and hard medina. The rooms are gorgeous and bring an instant peace the moment you step inside the Riad and Robert is a wonderfully charismatic and engaging host. The food is delicious. The staff is wonderful. Very warm and professional b&b. I can't recommend this place enough. It really is the best place in Fes, if not Morocco.

We stayed three nights here and could not recommend it highly enough. It has a charmingly casual feel and Robert and his staff treat guests so warmly they begin to feel like family. We found the riad to be clean, quiet, our room was spacious and well appointed and the food and service were delightful. This is not a super high end pretentious spot, so don't arrive with an attitude. I suspect it won't work in your favor.

Had a really good stay at Riad Idrissy and can also attest to Robert being a great (and very busy) host. He supplied us with lots of info and suggestions of what to do in and around the Fez medina. The Riad maintains a high standard of quality but you pay for it, I would say it is well worth it though. Breakfast was the best I had in Morocco particularly thanks to lots of non-bread items, the servings of fruits were large and fresh..what I would expect at that price but surprisingly hard to come by in Morocco. The lunch/dinner served by the Riad's garden restaurant were slightly hit and miss for me but I think it's still developing and the potential is great. For the most part I found it all a bit too oily but that's hardly one's biggest concern when backpacking through Morocco, but worth noting from my point of view.

It's really a great place to stay and I would recommend it without hesitation. Morocco is full of people including Riad managers, who are out to scam you. You can rest assured Riad Idrissy is not one of these, a very refreshing and welcome change. Definitely one of the best Riads of the trip. Thank you Robert and staff.

Had an incredible 2 nights staying here. We were looked after so well by Robert who is charm personified. The Riad itself is drop-dead beautiful and the restaurant in the ruined garden serves the best food we had in Fez, at reasonable prices. Elegant, informal and fun. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!
