We decided to make a 3 day tour from Fes to Marrakech over Merzouga, Erg Chebbi, Gorge Todra, Dades, Quarzazate, Ait Benhaddou and the usual stops you make on this trip. There is no question on the beauty of the country and the stops of the tour. It was just great and should get 5 stars of course.
However this review focuses on the tour operator "Sahara Aventures Travel" and his services. Here the details:

+ Good website, quick answers, flexibel, short-term organisation, pick-up at our hotel
+ Good english speaking, fast and safe driver and a 4x4 car

- the tour was very rush, fast driving and almost no stops to take pictures. We had the feeling that we were driving the whole time, you just pass by the nice countryside like TV.
- We didn't had time to make all stops which were promised to us before we missed Merzouga, the city of Quarzazate and we only passed the Dades river without seeing the Gorge.
- As mentioned the driver was good, but he was just a driver with only a few explanations and not a guide as we expected.
- Our hotel or Auberge I would not go again the owner was unfriendly, the breakfast bad and for a scarve they wanted 10 Euro from us..
- 4x4 is a nice to have, but we only used it to get to the hotel near Merzouga, don't expect a tour in the desert by car.
- We have also asked to have a 4 day tour, but the offer was only to stay an additional night in the desert which would not have solved the issue of having not enough time for all the stops.

After talking with other travellers our recommendation is to rent a car instead of making a tour. You are much more flexibel and you can stop whereever you want and it is easy to organise everything on your own. Also the desert trip you get quite cheap in Merzouga. The roads are very good and easy to drive. But the distances are long, for this trip it is better to make it in four days.

Firstly I want to thank you for your comment, we always looking to read a feedback from our customers .that’s help us to improve our services and keep working hard .
Also Thanks for your referring to the positive staff about the Sahara Aventures Travel ,as we always here to help you experience your dream vacation .
About the Point do you see it’s negative I think we share the responsibility, we meet you after your calling we give you all the information you asked ,that’s was before you book the trip, we answer your questions ,also the itinerary ,refer to the places you will visit and the places you will just pass .we also propose an extra day in dades or ouarzazate and do 4 days instead of 3 ,to see more ,not only the extra night in the desert as you refer to .i remember you was hesitate between the 3 days or the 4 days.
Also about the stops when we met in the depart day we say to you ask the driver to stop for you anywhere you want for rest or to take pictures etc… of course he stopped to visit the interesting place all the way .we always say that to our customer in front of the driver guide .
I Remember also that you can that you contact us late after your booking (the booking was in the afternoon last day before the depart day )at midnight you ask to change the end of the trip from Marrakech ,we ask for little extra money because the distance is more ,but you keep the first, program, I hope that doesn’t make you angry because we give the price depend on the program if the program change also the price .
About local guide, we didn’t say that to you, this what we sent you ;
Price includes:
Camel trekking
breakfast and dinner “vegetarian welcome”
All transportation
All applicable taxes
Driver guide
Not includes:
Even with that we offer you someone who show The Kasbahs and the Market in Rissani,we asked you also in ait ben haddou but you said that you want to go by your self .
We offer you one of the best drivers we have he speaks many languages, in addition to a very comfortable 4X4 Prado ,also comfortable accommodation and camp in the desert .
The only problem you have is that you want more time in the stops,i think we already refer to that before the trip .
In the End I want to Thank you again for your choice to our company ,and also for your choice to spend your vacation here In Morocco .We hope see you again here .
Be sure that we are happy with your comment even with classification you give, But we want just to make the thing clear, for others to know and learn .
Please feel free to contact us any time we will be happy to answer you in a few minute.

We contacted the agency about a desert trip from Fes ending in Marrakech for 3 nights and 4 days. The reply was very quick - we received the itinerary and the information in 20 minutes.
The trip was amazing, in a comfortable 4x4, the driver Hicham was very helpful and knowledgeable, our camel guide Hassan was also very nice and attentive, they both speak a good English. They made us feel very comfortable.
The first night we spent in a berber tent, after sitting by the fire listening to the music played by our guides - it was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. We saw the sunset and sunrise in the desert - unforgettable experience.
The second night was in the gorges of Todra, and the last night was in a nice riad in Quarzazate, we had the opportunity to stop on the way and see many kasbahs, Ziz and Rose valley. I would recommend this agency to everyone.
Thank you for the awesome time!

I did a lot of research online before finally booking with Sahara Aventures Travel. Belghit with whom I corresponded to make the arrangement was on top of everything. His answers were helpful and always prompt. Upon arrival to Fez we confirmed our tour and we were picked up at our hotel early in the morning to begin our expedition. Our driver and guide, Mohammed (not sure if I'm spelling his name correctly, forgive me if you're reading this!), is perhaps the nicest person we met in Morocco. His kindness extends beyond that of a guide. My boyfriend and I felt safe and appreciated.

The trip was a 4 day 3 night expedition from Fez to Marrakech with many pit stops throughout (details can be found on their website) but the highlight was a trek from Merzouga to the Sahara Desert on camel back where we were served hot mint tea, a delicious meal and rejoiced under the stars around a campfire with drums and music playing. It was a magical night. Wear double socks if you're going in the winter though!

Also one more thing that needs to be mentioned is that you can't beat the price. They offer the best price (from my research other companies offer a similar tour with same amount of days for a much higher price). The hotels were also very nice. Nice hot shower and great meals provided.

This is probably the best deal out there and it's really a wonderful way to see much of Morocco.

If you're interested in what lies beyond the city of Fez, definitely take a day tour with Sahara Aventures Travel!

We had an air conditioned new model mini-van, which was spacious & comfortable for going to and from sights.

Our tour was well planned, and the driver was open to change if we wanted to spend more time at a particular place. We saw the waterfall at Sefrou, the apple town of Azrou, incomprehensable Ifrane (Chamonix/Genenva in the middle of Morocco!!) & an ancient volcanic crater.

We also spent time at a giant lake (complete with paddle boats!) and, my favourite part, a visit to the Valley of Monkeys. In this cedar forest you see monkeys roaming about in the wild, however they are not shy & quite playful! It was a definite highlight of this trip to Morocco.

Definitely recommend doing this tour & Sahara Aventures Travel - it was a fantasic day & gave me a great insight into Moroccan life beyond the walls of Fez.
