Spent a weekend in this hotel , the location is pefect , in the city center , the medina and its attractions is 10 min away. The hotel is new , the furniture is good, the staff was welcoming and helpful. the only (-) is that we had to pay extra fro the parking
I strongly recommend a stay here for a weekend to explore fes , or business . it's a very good value for money

Excellent location, close to the city centre and facing onto a picturesque rambla/boulevard and fountain.

Relatively new designer styled hotel but the management didn't seem to understand that clean lines, black, chrome and white aren't enough - quality of service and food also need to be good. It looked like they were aspiring to 4-star but only managed 3-star.

For now, Fes seems to have some reasonably priced hotels and some good hotels, but struggles with both simultaneously !

Newish hotel, easy to find with parking, excellent modern styled rooms shame about the rest. Driven across country from Tangier so delighted that the hotel was easy to find, could park for free on the street outside and the room was exactly what you'd expect from a modern 4* hotel.
After unloading the car we thought we'd walk to the Medina, the hotel is in the new town but the Royal Palace and start of the Medina is only about ten minutes away. We asked if they had a map - answer 'No'. After our walk we went to the bar and had to wait ten minutes before anyone appeared to serve us. We thought we'd eat in the hotel and were really disappointed to find only a hot/cold buffet and a very unexciting menu. We ordered a couple of uninteresting bowls of Pasta and a bottle of wine and had dinner initially while a very loud Spanish tour guide engaged in conversation with the staff. No idea how long the buffet sits there but we must have been in the restaurant an hour and it sat untouched for all that time. Breakfast was 140 dirhams (about 14 euros) each and was really poor value for money, coupled with the restaurant temperature feeling sub-zero it wasn't a very pleasant experience. The hotel arranged for a tour guide to take the two of us round the Medina which was 250 dirhams for half a day (about 2.5 hours) plus tip which was excellent. Be prepared to visit a rug shop (great view over Medina), leather shop (great view of one of the tanneries), Argan shop (I paid way too much for some saffron) and some weavers (bought a great throw) along the way and enjoy the scenes.

Room Tip: We were on the main road side and didn't hear a thing inside or outside.

Nice, spacious hotel. Nice rooms. All a bit "design". Excellent and friendly service. Conference services within the hotel. Spacious parking underneath. Good internet. Good breakfast. Wine is available, although a bit expensive.
The name of the hotel was a bit misleading for me. I thought it was near the medina or old town (very authentic and interesting) . But no, that is a couple of km away. The hotel is in a modern area.

This seems to be the only hotel outside the Medina where one can actually stay. We looked at two other hotels before we found the Barcelo and were getting desperate. At first, we thought, the room was a bit expensive, but it was lovely decorated and seemed very clean, so we decided to take it anyway. This turned out to be a good decision, everything was working in the room (including the TV and the shower) and we had a great night sleep. Probably the best hotel we stayed in on our entire trip through Maroco (the most expensive as well though).
