Our party originally attempted to stay at Dar Seffarine based upon our guidebook and its reviews. Upon arrival at Saffarine, the owner informed us that they were fully booked but that she knew of a place around the corner that we might enjoy. We were met immediately by Rashid, the owner of Dar Moula. He guided us to his newly renovated guesthouse that lies not more than 30 seconds from Seffarine. He immediately showed us each of the rooms and made us feel at home. The terrace has stunning views of the old medina and surrounding hillsides. The rooms are stunning and are normal size for riads. Wifi was free of charge. Rashid charged a very modest fee for the room that included breakfast.

Although beautiful, the service was what made Dar Moula a definite place to stay. Rashid seemed to know everyone in Fes and was able to give us unbelievable insight on where and what to see. Rashid even showed us around a few streets in Fes and pointed out a few amazing historical aspects that we would have never noticed. At one point, we wanted to rent a car for the rest of our trip and Rashid set up the transaction and drove us to the rental car agency in his own car.

Dar Moula is a wonderful place with an amazing, friendly and charming owner. I would recommend this place to anybody.
