We took the 4 days 3 nights tour from Fes to Marrakech and had Hamid as our guide. I can't rave enough about the tour and Hamid. Firstly, he picked us up at the front of the Riad in Fes. We get to see Ifrane, Azrou forest, the Cedar monkeys, mid Atlas, Ziz Valley, Merzouga, Dades Valley, Todra Gorge, Berber Villages, the Black Desert, Khamlia Village, the Sahara, Erfroud, Rissani, Ouarzazate and many many more places. It was perfect. We even met and visited nomads. This is the highlight of our visit. Hamid was very attentive and kind and has a sense of humour too. We felt like we're with a friend or relative instead of a guide. As we spoke very limited Arabic and French, many times, Hamid had to translate things for us. He spoke good English and that's awesome.

The hotels that we were brought too were perfect and the breakfasts and dinners were provided. At Khamlia village, he order Medfouna for us - this is a must try! It's delicious!! Hamid would not hesitate to stop at points for us to take pictures. Some of the drives were rather long but rest assured that there are so many things to see on the way and if you want to stop, Hamid wouldn't hesitate to stop. Some people may think the tour is expensive but let me assure you that considering the number of things you get to see, it's not expensive at all. We saw so so so many things. We also had a night in the Sahara and that was a bit painful (cos it was cold) but a real experience that shouldn't be missed. The visit to to where the nomads lived was the highlight of our Morocco trip. Hamid knows his stuff and he showed us the houses and told us about the nomads. This is a good thing about Hamid - you can ask a lot of questions and as Singaporeans, we do ask a lot of questions and he answered all of them without any complain.

He will always ask us if we are fine when he sees us in the morning each day. We were not well on the last day and he was very nice about it. He was willing to wait for us to feel better before moving off and he kept asking if I'm fine. When we reached Marrakech, the riad couldn't send somebody to fetch us so Hamid brought us to the doorstep even though he doesn't need to. That is simply very kind. I highly recommend Dunes Line. You will have to remit EUR50 to them as deposit and don't worry, it's safe to do so.

Dunes Line is the tour company equivalent of a 5 star hotel.

Our party of four 30-year olds (two couples) visited Morocco for the first time this April for a period of 9 days. Whilst we initially considered hiring a rent-a-car and doing the trip completely by ourselves, we came across Dunes Line Day Tours on the Tripadvisor and encouraged by the other reviews, we decided to book a 3-day tour from Fes to Marrakesh with them. It ended up being one of the smartest things we did...When we travel, we want to stay independent and flexible and we usually do not book any "tours", but, having done this in Morocco with Dunes Line, we would recommend this as a great and stress free way to experience and move around Morocco.

First of all, our guide, Said, promply and politely responded to our mails and questions and we easily agreed on everthing in advance. Also, the tour was completely customised - duration, itinerary, pick up times, stops, etc. Actually, we felt so confident after our initial correspondence that we agreed with Said an additional day trip to Meknes and Volubilis with him (which we thought of doing by ourselves from our base in Fes).

Said is extremely punctual, knowledgable and professional guide and driver (Toyota landcruiser) and we feel really happy we had him with us. He was a great travel companion, and we learned a lot about the culture and the way of life of the Moroccan people with him. Once we agreed on the basic itinerary (3 day tour with pick up in Fes, through Middle Atlas, sleepover in the desert of Erg Chebbi, Todra Gorge, Dades valley, 2nd sleepover in Atlas, Ait ben Haddou, ending up in Marrakesh) Said took care of everything (accomodation, local guides, food) and we felt relaxed and that we are in good hands.

Some of our advice for other travellers:

1. Although the roads in Morocco are quite good and we consider ourselves as fairly good drivers, we are extremely satisfied to have done this with a guide / driver. On a fair amount of junctions there are no signs / directions, not to mention that we had a chance to relax and enjoy the scenery.

2. Said's initial suggestion was to sleepover in Ourzazate on our 2nd night. Having read the guidebooks, we wanted to stay somewhere near the gorges in the Atlas and asked for an altenative option. Said recommended Chez Pierre in Dades Valley (where we eventually went), which is a great little hotel deep in the gorge with, widdout kidding, Michellin star food. Amazing. Deeply recommended.

3. If we did our trip to Morocco again, we would try to build in at least an extra day in our itiniary to experience more of the desert and visit Berber villages (which Said offered, but we just did not have more time).

4. On our drive through the Middle Atlas, we had a stop at a no-name gas station where we hade the best lamb tajine of our entire trip. Ask for this if you take this route.

Once again, Said, thanks for everything, and Insallah, we will see each other again :-)

We had an amazing experience in the Atlas mountains and the Sahara during our 4-day-tour with Dunes Line!! The round-trip from Marrakech to Merzouga was really well-organised, taking us from one breath-taking place to another. Our friendly driver Said was a great company to spend these days with, he looked after us from the first encounter until the last moments of saying goodbye. The rooms were all nice and tidy, the food was lovely everywhere we went to!! People were welcoming all the time. I highly recommend the trips of Dunes Line, it will definitely give you a lot to take with you!!!!

Had a tour last month with Ahmeed from Dunes Line Tours. He was very welcoming, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We went to see the main sites of southern Morocco (Atlas mountains, Berber culture and Sahara Desert). I would honestly recommend this tours company to anyone for great service and knowledge of all aspects of Moroccan life.

Our customized tour of Morocco with Dunes Line was exceptional in every way. From the moment we began planning our trip and corresponding with them, they were responsive, professional and helpful in suggesting itineraries. Said, our driver and tour organizer, was the perfect guide through this amazing country.

We planned a four-day trip that began and ended at the port of Tangier Med and included a drive through the countryside to Fes, where Dunes Line organized a tour with the friendliest and most knowledgeable local guide. On our return, Said drove us to the charming mountain town of Chefchaouen and then back to Tangier. He was always courteous and punctual -- he even met us at 6am on our last day to make sure we made the ferry. He also taught us some useful Arabic phrases.

This was our first trip to Morocco. Traveling by auto gave us the flexibility to see the beauty of the country while making adjustments to our schedule as we wished. The vehicle, an SUV, was comfortable and safe.

I would highly recommend a tour with Dunes Line. Said was a pleasure to travel with, and we definitely feel like we have a new friend in Morocco. We are already planning our next trip to see the desert, inshallah.
