Dar Sienna was a wonderful respite from the busy bustle of the Fez medina. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated, and the staff is incredibly warm and helpful with anything you might need. We had a great time getting to know the other guests over mint tea in the living room and a tasty breakfast on the rooftop terrace, but also felt we had as much privacy and space as we wanted.

Room Tip: As Dar Sienna makes clear on its website, it's a steep climb up from the street level to the fir...

We stayed in Dar Siena for four nights during the end of august and start of September. This riad is a little and peaceful place where you can feel absolutely safe and comfortable. Moreover, by the moment we got there the owner gave us the keys of the main door so we could be in and out of the place whenever we wanted. Besides feeling like we were in our own house, we felt so well received and trated by the service in there. I can only say thantks to Sonhild, Ahmed and Mohamed for the support, hospitality and kindness they gave us. I am sure that when I come back to Fez I’ll stay again to Dar Siena for sure, because the days we sepent in there made the trip much more intense and memorable.

We must say we enjoyed the breakfast the most, very complete and tasty meal. The location of the house is excepcional, just in the spot of the Medina. The place is clean, with a kitchen you can use anytime, and individual bathrooms. And how could I forget about the terrace? From there you have an astonishing view of the city and it’s also a good place to have a rest and drink Moroccan tea. We spent the last night sleeping up there and we saw the sunrise at 5 in the morning, unforgetable experience.

For future guests, I recommend you to contract the service the riad offers of picking you from the airport. If you don’t really know the city it is better to be accompained by someone who does, just fort the first day, after that feel free to get lost on the narrow streets of the Medina, you won’t regret.

I just wanted to thank Ahmed and Sonhild for the opportunity to stay at such
a wonderful place that is so central to the heart of Fes, Medina. If you are looking for a hand holding touristic experience don't bother. Dar Sienna and especially with Ahmed's guidance is a place that provides a real look at how daily life unfolds in the medina. A strange melange of tourist confusion, 9th century charm and the amazing daily life that the Fassi have continued for over a 1200 year period. Dar Sienna and the magic of Fes is a place I hope to return to again. Inshallah!

Fantastic location in Fes (right in the heart of the old medina and with an amazing roof top terrace right next to Moulay Idriss Mosque). The staff (Ahmed, Mohammed and Sabah) couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and made sure that the day started well with a great breakfast. The guest house itself is full of character. Would highly recommend.

Dar Sienna is a special place in the old Medina in Fes that I would be more than happy to adopt as our 'home' in Morocco. It was nothing more than a pleasure to stay there for three nights and even better to return after travelling around Morocco. It really felt like coming home largely due to the attentive care of Ahmed, the manager, who made sure that all our needs were catered for. Couldn't recommend Dar Sienna more highly.

Room Tip: The middle floor room has the best bathroom and you have the floor to yourself. Would definately cho...

A friend and i stayed in Dar Sienna for 5 nights and were totally blown away. Everything was above and beyond what i expected. All the staff were amazing at not only catering to our every need but also giving us local knowledge and ultimately becoming our friends. Every morning without fail a beautiful breakfast was cooked for us and served on the top terrace which had stunning panoramic views over the Medina. I would recommend Dar Sienna to anyone going to Fez no matter what the purpose of your trip is. Thank you to everyone at Dar Sienna!
