We started off with some robust cocktails that got us into a very good mood early on in what is a very attractive setting. Unfortunately, despite being first into the restaurant, all the tables then appeared to have been taken. We were set up for dinner where we had our cocktails, near the fire. Whilst this was a charming and intimate place to have dinner, it would have been nice to have been asked whether this was okay by us, rather than simply placed there away from the other diners. However, any hint of disappointment was swept away by the beautiful flavours of perfectly cooked food, and a lovely glass of Le Petit Ferme. The meal was on a par with the great meals we have had in London and elsewhere in the world, and was a highlight of our trip to Morocco.
After the meal, a member of staff walked us back through the night streets to our Riad, whose owner had recommended Dar Roumana in the first place. All in all, an excellent night.
P.S. Make sure you go up to the roof terrace at some point to enjoy the view.
