Hotel Relax Airport

Stayed at the Atlas Hotel in transit from JFK to West Africa. Everything (shuttle service, all-you-can-eat-dinner, day room at the hotel) was provided free-of-charge because of a long layover in Casablanca (14 hours). The day room was very comfortable: clean, TV with several English channels, air conditioning. Free wi-fi in the lobby of the hotel. Nice dinner provided. Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Beautiful swimming pool! No towels were in the room when I first arrived - but were available later.

Unlike other reviews, I had a very good experience at the Atlas Airport Hotel.

We were forced to stay here thanks to Royal Air Maroc cancelling our flight and putting us in this hellhole for a night. It is absolutely the worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in. The room stank of damp, stale cigarette smoke, and drains. The beds were damp. The room was dirty. There was a cockroach infestation (I don't care what people say about cockroaches being inevitable in hot countries, it's twaddle: I've been all over North Africa and I've only seen them in the grottiest of places). The food was almost inedible, the staff were surly, and there was only one towel between two of us. It looks ok from the outside and the reception area is swish but the rooms and the dining room are filthy.

Very average hotel + Horrible Service. It's almost as if we bothered the staff. There were no towels in our rooms. When we asked for towels to the room service ladies that were in the hallway, they told us to wait and then asked for tip when they brought it : "Donnez moi le pourboire monsieur! ". After we discussed it with other hotel guests, they told us they had a similar situation. Apparently, they avoid putting towels in room on purpose, just so they could get tipped.

The food was awful and there was no water in the rooms. You could, however purchase a 1L bottle for about 3 USD$, which is pretty expensive.

Only positive thing was the wireless internet available in most areas (except rooms) for free. It was however pretty slow, and disconnected every hour or so...

I will go against the general tone of the previous reviews and say that compared to the hotels I stayed at in Casa and Rabat, this is not bad. Yes, it is a bit expensive but its location near the airport is very convenient. There is a shuttle leaving every 30 mn (but when the driver does the prayer...). This shuttle can drop you at the airport as early as 5:45 am and can come and pick you up late.
The staff has apparently much improved: they do speak fluently several languages and are very polite, even if not as efficient as one might like.
On the ground floor, you find a beautiful swimming pool and garden, a hammam, and a little and overpriced shopping center, as well as two restaurants. The food is not that good, but still acceptable and cheap.

Internet Wireless is also available!

The rooms are roomy, clean and the beds are very comfortable.

Bad service, lousy food, worst beds, snotty workers, the only reason to stay would be because it is close to the airport. They have amenities, but not always available. The food in the restaurant is lousy and the waitstaff are terrible. You pay too much for crap. Avoid if at all possible.
