Let me prefice this by saying that if you are coming to Casablanca "to see the sites" there is only one site to see and that's the mosque, which you could easily visit on a day trip from Rabat or as you are passing through.

Having said that my best friend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was fine, but nothing spectacular. It was clean, well maintained, and centrally located between the train and bus stations. We ate at the restaurant one night and I was terrible sick (not sure if it was dinner or lunch, but I was sick), so I would avoid it. The taxi stand outside the hotel is filled with creeps and the hotel does nothing to help you flag a honest one down.

I will not be returning to Casablanca, but if a friend were I would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The WiFi is weak throughout the hotel, but those located close to the elevators seemed to have bette...

Hotel is a famous art deco building with photos of this period and very nice decorated. In the begging od pedestrian zone, in centre of Casablanca, near central market, just 10 minutes walking to medina. Room is big, modern and very clean. I stayed two nights for business. Very good breakfast, fresh fruits, a woman doing pancaces and omlettes. Great dinner buffer with delicious desserts. Staff is very helpful and friendly.
I stayed before in many hotels in Casablanca, but this one would be perfect when they open SPA center. I can highly recommend this hotel.

I worked for the hotel industry for over 10 years and travelled the world for both leisure and business purposes and I can guarantee that this hotel does NOT meet a 4 stars hotel standards. The room looked good and fashionable at first glance but when you look properly, you then realize that mirrors were dirty, electricity plugs painted, scratched furniture, beddings with hair and holes, dirty windows and on...But the worst was clearly the general service (outside the reception desk). We stayed 5 nights in total. First of all, every single day we had to ask for a second bath robe and we continuously reminded them that 2 people were staying in this bedroom. We ordered room service twice and twice the made mistake. The Tagine was absolutely HORRIBLE! More Fat than actual meat which I of course returned. The second time, we received a wrong order (wrong sandwich and dessert) they gave us cheaper options ...without changing the charge. (But the receptions kindly rectified the error upon check-out). Breakfast was simply unacceptable. At 7.30 am, you would expect to have at least a full buffet and a table quiet quickly...well not in this hotel. Every morning tables would be dirty with very slow re-setting, the Manager will look at his team without having the courtesy to help them when they were clearly understaffed, the lady in charge of cooking omelettes & crepes was just rude and clearly didn't know the sense of customer service. I am travelling to Casablanca approximately 10 times a year from September to May (5-10 nights each times) and I can confirm that will never come back to this property. Extremely disappointed. I would highly recommend you to AVOID this hotel. Casablanca has many more small hotel, cheaper with a better service.

Room Tip: If you stay in the hotel, ask for an inside room. The rooms looking over the road are very noisy in...

We had a hard time finding the hotel because of the crazy traffic. But once we found it, we liked it. There is some parking in front of the hotel, and the traffic in the immediate vicinity is okay. We had the pleasure of meeting Kareem who was extremely nice & helpful. He showed us places we could visit and his fluent English made us feel right at home. The young lady at the reception also spoke very good English and had a great smile all the time. The complimentary breakfast was good. All in all a nice hotel.

Stayed here on a business trip. The building is great, the rooms are nice and it's right in the old Art Deco centre of Casablanca. Main problem is bad wifi. It's almost non-existent in the rooms, I had to go sit in the lobby or on the terrace outside to get a decent signal. They have a fancy restaurant (Marius) which served me a freezer pizza. Not great. Breakfast was also pretty poor, not a lot of choice. This place is popular with tourist groups who spend one night in Casablanca before starting their tour of Morocco.

My wife and I spent 9 days in Morocco in March-April 2014. We ended up in the Imperial Hotel. This is an art deco building erected in 1934 as the headquarters for the Shell Oil Company. US Army General Patton used it as his headquarters when he was there in early WW2. The hotel opened about six months ago and has some growing pains to get over. In my opinion this hotel is pretty nice but needs to work out the bugs. The new Casablanca tram passes right through the roundabout in front of the hotel. It is handy and convenient. A small grocery store, a pharmacy and a bottle shop (liquor) are all within 100 meters walk away. It is about 200 meters from the street that runs along the port. The big mosque named for Hassan II is on the Atlantic and is about a 30 Dirham (less than US$4) ride away. Rick's cafe is along the way and also nice. The staff is what makes the hotel very enjoyable. Bellman Karim at the front is really a nice man and very helpful. The breakfast included with the room was nice. On one rainy day we had room service and it was a good meal and surprizingly inexpensive. A club sandwich and fries for US$9. By the way we were told on check in the Spa was not available. When we got to our room the wood panel flooring was very sticky so we asked that it be cleaned. The staff took care of it right away. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: New hotel - working the bugs out Tram is heard even through closed windows in front.
