We had a hard time finding the hotel because of the crazy traffic. But once we found it, we liked it. There is some parking in front of the hotel, and the traffic in the immediate vicinity is okay. We had the pleasure of meeting Kareem who was extremely nice & helpful. He showed us places we could visit and his fluent English made us feel right at home. The young lady at the reception also spoke very good English and had a great smile all the time. The complimentary breakfast was good. All in all a nice hotel.

Stayed here on a business trip. The building is great, the rooms are nice and it's right in the old Art Deco centre of Casablanca. Main problem is bad wifi. It's almost non-existent in the rooms, I had to go sit in the lobby or on the terrace outside to get a decent signal. They have a fancy restaurant (Marius) which served me a freezer pizza. Not great. Breakfast was also pretty poor, not a lot of choice. This place is popular with tourist groups who spend one night in Casablanca before starting their tour of Morocco.

Rooms verde clean and modern. Hotel is in the center, steps from a tram station. Breakfast buffet was spectacular and really 5* Hotel stuff helpful and really nice. We were celebrating my Friend bday and he got a huge delicious chocolate cake waiting for him in the room. Nice gesture, thank you!

My wife and I spent 9 days in Morocco in March-April 2014. We ended up in the Imperial Hotel. This is an art deco building erected in 1934 as the headquarters for the Shell Oil Company. US Army General Patton used it as his headquarters when he was there in early WW2. The hotel opened about six months ago and has some growing pains to get over. In my opinion this hotel is pretty nice but needs to work out the bugs. The new Casablanca tram passes right through the roundabout in front of the hotel. It is handy and convenient. A small grocery store, a pharmacy and a bottle shop (liquor) are all within 100 meters walk away. It is about 200 meters from the street that runs along the port. The big mosque named for Hassan II is on the Atlantic and is about a 30 Dirham (less than US$4) ride away. Rick's cafe is along the way and also nice. The staff is what makes the hotel very enjoyable. Bellman Karim at the front is really a nice man and very helpful. The breakfast included with the room was nice. On one rainy day we had room service and it was a good meal and surprizingly inexpensive. A club sandwich and fries for US$9. By the way we were told on check in the Spa was not available. When we got to our room the wood panel flooring was very sticky so we asked that it be cleaned. The staff took care of it right away. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: New hotel - working the bugs out Tram is heard even through closed windows in front.

We had an early morning flight out of Casablanca and needed a place to stay the night before. Imperial Hotel Casablanca is a very quick tram ride or taxi ride away from the Casa Voyageurs station, or a 15 minute walk down Mohammed V. The staff were very courteous and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very clean and spacious, offering a great deal of peace and relaxation before our flight the next morning.

We booked the hotel mainly because it is a 'hotel & spa' but, upon arrival, we asked where the spa was only to be told that it was not yet opened. It basically doesn't exist. The hotel is not brand new, so, why is it named Hotel & Spa?

Arriving in the room we discovered that we had a twin room rather than the Deluxe Double that we had booked and paid for. No explanation was made until we walked back to reception to ask for the correct room, we were told there were no Doubles available and that we could move the following day.

We went back to the room to shower and realised the shower was loose and that positioning the shower head was a momentous challenge.

I then had to take a trip back to reception for a wifi username and password.

At breakfast in the morning (all three mornings) we had to specifically request coffee. There were no eggs left (at 09:30). The fruit juice glasses ran out and it was a struggle to get them replaced. I had no fork one morning and asked two staff members for one but eventually took my own from a different table (most tables no longer had knifes and forks set at this time). Plates were being removed from our table whilst we were eating and generally we felt as if we were intruding during our breakfast.

The second day we were moved to our Deluxe Double room (I had to call the reception desk a few times to chase them as we wanted to venture out into Casablanca) and, once more, the shower was loose and impossible to use. I eventually got the shower working in a satisfactory manner by ramming a folded piece of card into the hole in the wall to hold the shower head in place.

On the bright side, the reception desk staff were friendly. One night I asked a member of the restaurant staff for a bottle opener and he very kindly came to the room immediately to open the bottle of wine. He also rushed to the bar with me and offered to help in any way he could. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a fridge in the rooms but we only found it as we were checking out because it is on the wall under the window behind the curtains.

When we checked out, the price was a little higher than we had been quoted - this was due to 'tourism tax', which is approximately MAD40 a day.

Returning to Casablanca, we'd try a different hotel.

Without any particular expectation I can suggest this hotel. The staff is really helpful (ask about Karim, he is really a good guy and very helpful and speaks a perfect American!). The position might not be as good as it looks like, as the surrounding is just buildings! Rooms are big and clean. Overall it's good for a business trip.
