Owner description: This stately mosque, a fine example of pure Moroccan architecture, is the only one in the city that non-Muslims may visit.

just to see this architectural gem. It's kind of like a Muslim St Mark's, set at the end of a very large, open square. They hae tours of the interior at appointed times, but our timing did not permit us to make one of the tours; however, the exterior can be viewed any time and is worth the visit.

If you are in Casablanca you have to visit the Mosque. Make sure you arrive at a time when you can visit the interior. The craftsmanship is some of the best work I have seen.

Must see - tour available in English - takes about 1 hour. Must take off your shoes and carry them (plastic bag provided), so wear socks! The bath areas are especially interesting and beautiful.

There's only one mosque open to non-Muslims in Morocco, and this is it! Worth the tour for its insight into the culture of the country and its people. Quite the experience!

The 3rd largest mosque in the world and built in honour of the late King who was father of the current ruler. Constructed between 1987 and 1993 by some 600 plus workers. A stunning monument by the ocean towering toward the perfectly blue sky we were lucky enough to enjoy. In pristine condition with opulent archways and pillars, ornate doorways and painstakingly crafted mosaic features. We spent a while taking pictures then moved along the shoreline walk where the rough seas crashed and sprayed amongst the fisherman and passersby.
