Way below expectations ie internation Sheraton standards. Rooms are spacious but a bit old, as the whole hotel, which really needs refreshment... The worst us though the service (slooooow and u efficient) and food...

There is a grand entrance to this Hotel but the rooms are very average-3 star- and the area the Hotel is located in is a concern.
I would look for a Hotel in a better area that has undergone room refurbishments.

I spent a couple of weeks in Casablanca on a business trip and stayed at the Sheraton. Overall, a positive experience, although there is room for improvement. My stay was comfortable, and I'd definitely recommend the hotel to others and stay there again if I went back. I also rented a conference room for a week for some business meetings.

Pros:
1. Hotel staff - Hands down, they were just amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful, and they were extremely prompt and efficient with everything I needed.
2. Room/Comfort - The beds were super comfortable and very clean.
3. Location - Centrally located, everything was well within reach including the souks, the beach, restaurants and all major business centers.
4. Food - the restaurant near the lobby has very nice seafood.
5. Fitness Center - well equipped, quiet, always open. Perfect for keeping your workouts going while on business.

Cons:
1. Internet - It's quick, but a little expensive.
2. Sports Bar - I walked in on a Friday night with a colleague and left immediately. They have friendly staff, but it's extremely seedy, dark and very poorly ventilated.
3. Caged birds in the lobby - I'm not sure what purpose they serve, but they're all over the (otherwise lovely) lobby.

I used to stay in this hotel when I first started flying 20 years ago - I don't think it has seen a Lick of paint or new decor since then, maybe even longer!

The location is central - a nice little market is down the back street near the hotel and the main market a short walk away where you can buy all manner of local stuff!

First impressions are of a grand and oldie-worldie hotel........
The rooms are spacious and well equipped, but tired and needing some TLC. The cleaners do what they can with the bathrooms which are doing their best to look clean, but it is difficult when the cracked tiles and other issues take over the appearance! The internet is quite fast, skyping only had a couple of hitches, but on the whole, not bad. On a plus side - COMFY BED :-)

We were here during Ramadam, so went to the Iftar buffet in the evening, it was £26 and was a pretty good selection of foods, however I was extremely disappointed in the tagine they so proudly had on display "CALF FEET" I MEAN COME ON.....if you found any meat on the bones, then you must have got the ONLY piece! I know it's an Iftar buffet, and people eat a lot after fasting, but "CALF FEET"!!!!! The hot selection generally wasn't great to be honest, but the shawarma's, salad, fruit and desserts were nice.

There was some live (arabic) music, which after the first couple of songs became very very depressing, nothing upbeat at all.....had to eat up and get away before committing hari-kari!

This is a very big hotel with lovely, helpful staff, COME ON SHERATON - give it a major refurb before it crumbles!!

Room Tip: Most are quiet, don't get anything on the main road side!

Dear jammydodger0905
Thank you for having reporting to us your experience at Sheraton Casablanca, and would like to take the opportunity to thank you as well for your loyalty.
In 20 years several changes has been made, as the implementation of the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, Link@sheraton (20 Megas shared), Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance and amazing projects will be conducted in the coming months. We feel sure that you will enjoy it in a near future.
Ramadan was a great food experience for our guest during the Iftar buffet, based on "Sharing and Tradition" with 5 different daily hot selections and permanent refill. We deeply regret the fact that one of this selection didn't. meet your expectation.
We look forward to welcoming and meeting you soon .
Warm regards

Sheraton Casablanca is a mixed experience. The rooms are spacious, but the cupboards look like they're ready to fall apart. The service keeps the room clean (once I met them at my door when returning from the office at 7pm), but the bathroom had some stains and the iron was defunct. The decor is... peculiar, but the carpets are lovely and warm. There is a well-kept swimming pool, but it's very small. There's a sushi restaurant, but it seems that if they get something left by the end of the day, they serve it as a part of the buffet breakfast on the next day, and on the day after that as well.
The breakfast is great, you can choose from among standard and regional dishes, there's fruit, meat, three kinds of pancakes (one of regular type and two of the Moroccan variety), pork on a separate table with a warning sign, and sometimes sushi happens (see above).
In general, my experience was positive and I would stay there again, though I didn't see anything above & beyond a regular 4-star hotel.
Make sure your window is closed (even if it has no handle).

Room Tip: No rooms with a view, unfortunately, though the higher the better.

We stayed there in Ramadan, and the hotel didn't meet our expectations for a 5 Stars hotel (or even 4 stars);

What's good:
1. Staff is helpful and welcoming,
2. Nice lobby,
3. Nice room (kind of)

What's BAD:
1. Location might not be the best,
2. Since we were in Ramadan, so no breakfast for us, but a Shour/Imsak instead, which wasn't good (lack of variety and quality)
Also, we took dinner twice (Iftar special) and the food/service was average.
3. Jacuzzi/pool: disgustingly dirty!
4. Slow in-room Wifi signal...and if there is any, the internet is slow as well (to be honest, not all the time)

My 2 cents recommendation: just go somewhere else if you have the choice :)

Dear Imed_DZ,
Thank you for you loyalty to Starwood hotels and Resorts, and your recent stay booked though Starwood Preferred Guest, at Sheraton Casablanca, located in the City Centre, at 5 minutes from Old Medina, and Mosquee Hassan II..

Your coment is important for us, and sharing with all of our Associates. It is our goal to meet your expectations, and we deeply regret to not meet them in full.

We are investigating about the issue you had with Internet connection, as we recently offer to our guest 20 Megas (shared) in order to stay connected with yours and your business easilly.

The Ramadan was a great period to provide a real buffet food experience in terms of variety and quality during the Iftar and Imsak in our restaurant, and it was more sensitive to offer the full buffet through our In Room Dining service.

We would like to suggest you to contact us before your next stay in order to make the necessary arrangements and meet your expectations.
Hoping this will meet your expectations, We look forward to welcoming you soon .

Warm regards

One cannot talk about Casablanca without remembering the movie "Casablanca" and Humphrey Bogart's role as Rick, the owner of Rick's Cafe. Modern Casablanca has grown up quite a bit. There is a Rick's Cafe, a modern throwback to a black and white time complete with a piano and player every evening.

We visited Casa, as the locals sometimes refer to the city, on a business trip in early May 2013. Wanting to be near the harbor, local Souks, good walking areas and of course, not too far from Rick's Cafe we selected the Sheraton Casablanca. With a unique corner entrance, and a doorman who may or may not assist you, the lobby is a modern wonder of interior architecture built around a wonderful fountain.

Staff were great and accommodated the three of us, two men and a lady with three rooms in proximity to each other. WiFi was good and business services available first-come-first-served basis just off the lobby. A small full-service bar across the lobby and a very nice buffet style restaurant beyond with a majority of excellent local produce, meats and desserts. One can order from a menu but why miss the wonderful local food?

Rooms were great with lots of space, beds very comfortable (I'm 6-4 so beds are critical for me) and service excellent. There is a second restaurant on the 2nd floor used for breakfast mainly. Also a pool, fitness facility and limited spa services. A 4.5 star hotel for business and family.

Room Tip: In a downtown high rise hotel all rooms look out over the city.
