We are visiting Morocco for a family holiday and after looking at restaurant reviews on TA, hubby and I fancied this restaurant whilst in Casablanca, with its interesting and varied menu of duck and foie gras, so we planned to visit. We had the address, knew it was in Quartier Racine, and we jumped in a red petit taxi. It seems that taxis here don't have maps or sat navs and they don't know all the roads or restaurants either, not even the main boulevards sometimes! It seems that a lot of this area is a building site and we drove round and round for ages. Eventually, we gave up, got out and walked and asked a well-heeled passer-by, who knew the restaurant and the road!
We were glad to arrive at the restaurant, it was busy, bustling and felt friendly and welcoming, bright and sunny, with great food smells. Our children are small and I didn't see any obvious choices for them on the menu (they liked some pate/ terrine but wouldn't eat foie gras), so I asked and the lovely waitress, who I believe is the daughter of the owners, offered some pasta with cheese (actually a rich cheese sauce) and this was made especially for the children, which was very kind. We shared pate and a salad to start - both excellent. Then I had lasagna with foie grass, which was delicious - light fresh sheets of pasta with seared foie gras in the middle and some light shredded vegetables on top, no tomato sauce or cheese and no long baking for this one; it was rich, quite buttery and very good! Hubby had risotto with foie gras, which was also delicious he said. Afterwards, we shared homemade chocolate cake, which was superb. My eldest child had a strawberry cheesecake, which was very pretty and she enjoyed it. We also bought some homemade marshmallow to take away, which was really good, too. All the staff were very nice, very attentive and they brought a gift of a little sweet for he children, which was very kind.
We really enjoyed our meal and would recommend this restaurant.
If you are hunting for it yourself, there is a Petit Bateau shop (amongst other smart shops) on the boulevard nearby and the smaller road on which the restaurant is located goes off at an angle just up a little from here.
