The Morocco Mall seems like it'd be fun to visit if you're from Morocco or Africa, but if you're looking for an authentic Moroccan experience, don't go there. It's nice to visit if you like malls, and if you have a bunch of extra money that you need to get off your hands. The prices are far more expensive for clothes than the U.S. malls.

I did, however, really enjoy two things:

1) The aquarium was fun to look at, and I saw that if you wanted to pay some money, you could ride and elevator up through the aquarium. Very cool.

2) The water fountain show outside was so neat. It seemed to happen every 1/2 hour on weekends and every hour on weekdays. The music they play for the show changes, apparently, and at one time it was the Moroccan anthem. The 2 times I went, it was a Moroccan wedding song with a really nice violin part. If you have time when it gets dark, grab a coffee at one of the outdoor cafes that line the pool, and wait for the show to begin. It's beautiful.

Well, I'm glad this place has opened and seems to be doing well. However, some of things I expected just weren't there. There's no delicatessen, for a start. I should've thought a high-end deli would've been a must for such a place. There's no high quality butcher's doing special meats/cuts or pork, wild boar or venison. There's no high-end cheese shop. Maybe I'm missing the point of the place, but all that seemed to be there were international names of clothes shops and jewellers (in the main, apart from a couple of chocolatiers or Mothercare outlets) selling their products at hugely inflated prices. I expected the Marjane supermarket to have loads more lines (and posher lines) than a normal Marjane, instead it's smaller than the ones at California and Ain Sebaa and does nothing in particular that I couldn't've got there and few items that I can't find in Acima in El Jadida.

The food court? Yes, something from all corners of the earth and for every taste as long as that taste is for fast food. I didn't notice a quality restaurant there. There might be one, but it was overkill, so many small outlets doing pre-cooked Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Italian and so on. I just got fed up walking past all these places so might've missed something special. My Moroccan friend actually refused to let us eat there saying that it was processed food at restaurant prices.

I expect I'd go back, just to have a better look round - but I don't think that this impression will alter.

While most things sold in this mall have high mark-ups, it's got a great collection of fashionable stores. There's a decent food court, a large Marjane supermarket, and 2 Starbucks outlets.

Felt like I was in London Heathrow Airport but with much more to shop and do, especially for the kids. It is a mix between the airport and an excellent American mall. Easy access, lots of treats, a huge food court. Expensive but there lots of deals.

... and well, it's a shopping mall?!

Went here during a half-afternoon off for lunch and enjoyed it for about 20 minutes before getting bored of Dolc, Gucci, H&M & co. There are better, larger and nicer malls out there in the world.

I think, if you come to Morocco you should see Morocco. This place caters for the top 1% of the population plus tourists and will show you absolutely nothing of either the country, culture or people and should thus be avoided IMO, ...
