As the title says: location is good, just next to the brand new train station, also not far from "la corniche" if you want to go walk seaside (10 minutes in taxi).

Service is regular, good but not fantastic. People are smiling at least.

Very bad point: internet. Extremly slow. Just good for emailing but not much more....

Stayed here twice before and after a tour of the country. First room faced an unappealing car park and the second a good view of the harbour.

The pros:
- great location in central Casablanca opposite new railway station and some good restaurants nearby
- free wifi in room...worked most of the time
- buffet dinner was passable

The cons:
- Indifferent reception most of the time....other times just rude. No pens. Requested a map of Casablanca - a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy of what was supposed to be a map was pushed in my direction. It was indecipherable and no indication given where the hotel was on map because the fine gentlemen had disappeared into the back room. Key cards became inoperable on day 2 - had to have them reset.

- room small. Little storage space. Bathroom amenities limited. Minute soap bar that not replaced. Shower big enough but engineered in such a way that water pours onto the floor. Towels threadbare. Bed hard...very hard.

- Breakfast a complete debacle. No staff for 40 minutes whilst there! No method to the food display. Guests wander aimlessly trying to find things that should go together like butter near the preserves, Yoghurt with cereals, serviettes with cutlery and so on. Just unbelievable. And this is a chain hotel! Pastries fresh though. Coffee machine did not work. Pandemonium ensued as guests desperate for their caffeine fix were trying anything and everything to get the machine to work. When eventually help did arrive, there was much gesticulating and arguing among the newly appeared staff about what to do...

But the final insult were bed bugs. Now I have seen and heard many reports from travellers alleging bed bugs in hotels I have stayed in around the world and I have dismissed it as nonsense. After the experience here where the bed was infested as evidenced by the welts all over, I will not ignore such warnings again.

This hotel is used by tour companies and I can only say that it is a cynical commentary on their disregard for their customers that they subject them to this awful experience. There has to be better in Casablanca.

When we left this hotel after two nights, everything in our bags were damp, it was utterly disgusting. Staff are helpful most of the times, but most lack English skills. The bed was hard as a rock and not very good if you have a bad back like me. All in all okay, but the problem with damp rooms should be checked out..

Typical Ibis, small room which was clean with hot water, three lifts, good nights sleep. Good selection of eating places in the day near by. 15 minutes walk to Ricks Bar. Food ok, No problems with reception or staff. no swimming pool. taxis outside. free Wi-Fi in rooms

Lets start with the positives.
The man directing the cars for luggage drop off was charming and the man in the actual car park was very helpful.
There is Wifi throughout the hotel.
It's somewhere to sleep.
Now for everything else. The reception staff were unwelcoming and almost dismissive. The worst service I have ever had in a hotel of any kind in fact. We felt like we were inconveniencing them. The bar had no orange juice; no orange juice, really ???, and half the bar menu was unavailable. The service was slow. Despite an advertised restaurant menu, with choices, on the night we stayed it was a set menu with no options, which did not suit us.
The rooms were taking basic to a new level, and I am glad we only had to stay one night.
If you have to catch a train I guess its a good location, as the station is right opposite, and for us it was pretty easy to get back onto the motorway in the morning.
I'm sure there are nicer places to stay in Casablanca
