My husband and I recently spent 10 nights here as part of our honeymoon, following four nights in Marrakesh. For us it was absolutely perfect.
ROOMS: We were in a junior suite which was absolutely beautiful! Bathroom with huge shower, bath and twin sinks, separate toilet, dressing room and a bedroom with comfy seating area and the biggest bed we've ever seen in our lives! The room was cleaned every day, towels refreshed and the bed made etc. A lovely balcony with a soft sofa type seat and a table and chairs, overlooking the golf course. The room had air con which was definitely needed!
FOOD: We booked on a room only basis, having thought we might be able to find some local restaurants to eat in once we worked out that to pre book breakfast would cost around £30 a day. We soon found that the hotel was too far away from the local area of Inezgane to be able to do this, however on checking in we found that to have breakfast would cost us the equivalent of £20 a day with the exchange rate at the time. And they were worth it! We had about 5 breakfasts and the food was always fresh and well topped up, various eggs were on offer freshly cooked to order, meats, cheeses, breads and pastries - everything we could want! On one day we were quite late getting up and once we'd finished one of the waiters told me he would bring me another pot of tea to the pool as I had only had time for one cup! (His name was Hasan and he was fab throughout!).
We ate in the restaurant in the evening a few times too and always loved it. Although there wasn't a huge amount of choice, what there was was delicious. On average two courses for two people and a bottle of house red came up at about £45. Drinks at the bar were ok priced (especially considering it's a captive market really!), about £3.50 for a beer or glass of wine, and they always brought them out to you at the pool with a little tray of nuts and crisps.
THE POOL: Was just amazing! The wonderful pool man found us a couple of sun loungers each day, brought us towels and a parasol and made sure we were comfortable. The pool isn't too deep, and goes down in steps so was fine for the children that arrived towards the end of our stay. We didn't use the indoor pool because the outdoor one was so peaceful and in such beautiful surroundings.
GETTING TO AND FROM AGADIR: We made good use of the shuttle bus run by the hotel to it's sister hotel in Agadir, although the service wasn't always as reliable as it could have been! We found it was best going in in the morning and arranging with the driver when we would be returning. If we couldn't get the bus a taxi cost us 100 dihram, which was about £7 - lots of people on here have said it was 250 dihram which I find odd, unless it has something to do with exchange rates!
The staff were super, the hotel was beautiful and well looked after and there were lots of lovely touches - such as the man who arranged our towels into swans in the evening - which made the stay wonderful. We would definitely recommend it!
